Hi folks. Pen lust is a problem. It's even more of a problem when you can't find the dang thing. I found the photo at the bottom of the post on Pinterest a while back and have *needed* this pen ever since. It's supposedly a Sailor Sapporo in "Sparkling Blue" and I, for the life of me, haven't been able to find more information than that, though it's very likely a simple case of not knowing where to look. Can somebody point me in the right direction? Does anybody happen to have info on it?

I know this has been asked before, but dang if I can find a "real" answer. I purchased a Nakaya (directly from Japan) last year and loved the pen from the moment I held it in my hand. The only problem has always been that I underestimated just how fine a "fine point" nib would be and haven't used it as much as I'd like to b/c it's just too scratchy for my taste. I want to replace the nib on it with a medium. Only problem is that I can't find anyone to sell me one! Sure, I can ship it off to nibs.com and wait six months (quoted about a month ago. But I've already taken the existing nib out, cleaned it, cleaned the feeder (I had some problems with some "sticky ink" that neccistated me doing this), with no ill affect to the pen whatsoever, and it took about 5 minutes. I just can't see shipping off the pen and waiting an extended period of time for a 5 minute operation. Does anyone know where I can buy a Nakaya (or a Platinum #3776 - as I understand they are identical) nib so that I can just do this myself? I understand I take on all the risk, and if I damage the pen/nib it's my fault... Blah blah blah... I'm a grown up. I get it. I just don't want to wait so long for a very simple replacement. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, Moment ago I have discovered my beloved Aurora Hastil has lost one of its jewels somewhere on the way. Made my Monday really, really sad. Can someone help me with sourcing a replacement one? Help! http://ewebog.nazwa.pl/allegro/Hastil-1.JPG http://ewebog.nazwa.pl/allegro/Hastil-2.JPG Thank you in advance, Filip

As luck would have it I finally hit a show stopping snag with my ever increasing flock of later gen Pelikan 100N's. I recently received one which looked pretty pristine from the outside (cap & barrel were A-OK) but had a problematic nib (tip missing, other tine creased & bent). Knowing the nib issue I paid a lot less than market value but when I received the pen I found that the internals were pretty much shot. As in, the piston mechanism base (which holds the shaft and spindle) had a big chunk missing on the barrel end and it seems that someone had mistaken the end of piston shaft (where the piston seal is attached) for a chew toy... it wasn't pretty. Fortunately I already had one base that I recovered from an otherwise junked 100... but no piston shaft. Hence the need to find a replacement piston shaft, the whole piston shaft and nothing but the piston shaft. Anyone in the know for a source? I already sent an email to David Nishimura @ Vintagepens about this but thought of asking also here. Thank you most humbly for your attention, Mana

Hi, I was going through my late fathers desk when I came upon an old Shaeffer Balance fountain pen as well as several others. I did some online research and disassembled the pen, replaced the ink sac cleaned the nib and now the the pen works perfectly. What brought me to this forum was my search for a Sailor 95th Anniversary Realo pen, still looking. Any advice on how to find that pen would be greatly appreciated. I've also decided to work on penmanship. I'm going through Spencerian penmanship workbooks, any suggestions on material in penmanship would also be appreciated. Thanks, Bill Kiel

I'd like to buy a Lamy Safari with a 1.9mm nib as a starter calligraphy pen. I know that the Lamy Joy usually comes with this nib which is also interchangeable with the Safari. I prefer the looks of the Safari over the Joy but I can't seem to find a US retailer who carries the Safari with this nib. Any recommendations will be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, I have this nice Esterbrook desk pen. I'm currently keeping it in a wooden pen holder, however it lets the pen dry out too quickly. So now I'm looking for a proper Esterbrook desk pen holder that is compatible and will do the trick and be nice to the pen. If you have one for sale and are willing to ship it to Europe, please contact me. To be honest, I also looked around on ebay and the biggest problem is that the sellers in the US are shipping things to the EU very expensively. For instance, this particular item might be what I'm looking for, but the shipping costs twice as much as the item itself.

Hello FPN, I'm currently on a crusade to find a Parker Imperial Vacumatic. Actually, I'm open to any vacumatic with a gold cap in general. According to my research, it was made for a very brief period of time and is rather unusual. I've seen it go on sale, starting at about $400. If anyone could direct me to one at a fair price, it would be greatly appreciated. I would usually post this as a WTB in the classifieds (which I have done), but I'd like to get the opinions of the experts and owners of this pen. Thank you in advance!
