Hi - I am going to be moving on my Cross fountain pen. It is as new but before I list it on ebay I would like to get the description correct. From the 2016 pinned post I believe the plain cap band designates it as a Century II. Is this correct? It has O 02 stamped where the cartridges fit.

Pen Model ID Request - Onoto The Pen, Thomas de la Rue, Plunger Filler - likely early 1920's, ebonite, clipless
IHaveAPenProblem posted a topic in Great Britain & Ireland - Europe
Hello all! I've heard a lot about this place, and have finally been pushed to actually sign up. And the challenge I have is in trying to identify the model of a beautiful, but very well-used Onoto plunger fill, which I picked up cheaply off a market in its home town, when I was visiting a friend in the Big Smoke! The model number is poorly imprinted, and given the wear, it seems to change depending on what I have for breakfast. Online research, suggests this is a 5000 series/streamline version from the early 1920's - so a real antique. However, when I was looking to buy the parts to fix it up, the numbers don't match. The model ID from Custom Pen Parts (https://www.custompenparts.co.uk/gb/content/7-onoto-model-identification). On my pen, the diameter matches the medium slim, however, the barrel length matches the short. So I appear to have a 'medium slim short', which doesn't appear on the list! As it was, I managed to pick up another Onoto 5601, with a wrecked nib, which helped me with proper disassembly, and the internals were the same, so both pens take a 7.65 mm seal, though this one has a shorter rod. The imprint. From what I can see, the first digit has something that could be the end of the top part of a '2', and I suspect the second digit is a 3. The final two digits are either 0/6/8 - but that's dependent on the font. Honestly, I could be seeing scratches and dings, this pen has had a hard life, and I suspect the imprint was never good. Whatever the pen model is, it's far from my typical pens I like, but I've fallen for this hard. The nib is a beautiful smallish italic, with reasonable flex. I can't fault it, and I'm certainly sold on vintage Onoto's now! The ink is Diamine Ancient Copper, and don't worry about the nibless 5601 - I had a spare TDLR nib from a later pen, I was fixing up for a friend, which I found had a cracked nib. It was a special pen she was given by her dad, back in the 50's for her "plus 9's" exams, and she has so few things to remember her father with, she didn't want the nib swapped, so I sadly had to hand it back to her still not working, but did mount it in a frame for her to still enjoy. Yeah, so the 5601 is just waiting to be inked up. -
I just received this beautiful vintage pen I got in an auction and I need your help identifying it. The clip has the letter P in it and also on the lever. The clip kind of has an arrow shape so I am included towards a Parker but I have never seen this model before. I cheked many of the US brands starting with a P (Packard, Postal, etc.) none has this logo. The nib says Durium,14kt Gold plate no 8 USA.A generic nib used by many lessknown brands. I think maybe is not the original nib since seems a little too big for the feed. Any ideas? Thanks!!

What particular model is it and is it a good pen? I'm not even sure what kind of filler it has... I'll upload more photos when I get the pen.

So looking for some help, folks. I got this pen earlier because I loved the way it wrote, but unfortunately didn't have too much info on fountain pens when I bought it. Some features: It has "Aristocrat" stamped on the side, that's essentially the only marking. It's a button filler with a small ink window towards the bottom, and doesn't hold much ink at all. The nib is 14K gold and stamped with "Warranted 14K 8." Semi-flex, goes from around a XF to M/B. Thanks!

I would appreciate any help on pen identification. The green one on the left was our grandmother or great grandmothers. Nib says Warranted H Chrome Point USA, has a screw on cap. I am figuring it is beyond restoration, any opinions? Sorry for not a great picture, I just was not sure how to make it better. I know now I should have it nib side up. The red one we bought at a flea market. I don't think it is worth much but it is different than a lot I have seen. An large S on the clip, a small, slender pen. Nib says 14Kt gold plate. Heart shaped breather hole, leer fill. Item on the right is just a part that came in a bag of miscellany. Thanks.

Hi, I came across this 'Sheaffer' pen today and was wondering if it was authentic. It's large, looks like a Balance (?), and is in pristine condition. My concern is that it feels very much like cheap plastic for a reason I can't identify, the white dot looks just too darn white, and the nib seems iffy to me. Also, it's a c/c pen- is that an actual mechanism used on pens like this? The nib reads "SHEAFFER'S Feather Touch 18k 750 MADE IN USA" Thanks for any help!

If anyone knows what the model of this pen is, its approximate value, when it was made, etc., I would greatly appreciate it. It is an English made Waterman's. It seems to me based upon the clip design and lever box that it was made sometime between 1937 and 1940 something but that is all I have. I love my Waterman Pens and this one is no exception. It has a very nice flexible nib. I've had it customized into a sharp fine Italic from the medium that it was originally. Before the customization the nib was not as nice as the earlier Waterman's that I am super fond of but now that it has been customized it is spectacular. In addition to the Black and Pearl English made Waterman's I am asking for help identifying I have attached my box of favorite Waterman's pens. 1. #3 2. #3 3. #32 4. UNKNOWN ENGLISH MADE Waterman's 5. #94 6. Silver Ray 7. Emerald Ray 8. #7 Red 9. #5 Red 10. #94 Persian Thanks in advance to you Waterman's experts for your kind help. Aloha, Todd
