    Santini to Offer #8 Nibs

On a recent visit to the Santini Italia website, I noticed an announcement that they will offer size #8 nibs in 18 karat gold beginning in October. https://www.santini-italia.com/
  2. Looking into possibly buying a Santini... was wondering if any of you have greased the piston on it or know how to. Thanks for your help! W. H. Major

    Next fountain pen

I'm looking forward to the third U.S. stimulus check and want to use part of it to buy my next fountain pen. Please see my signature for the pens that I have. I'm thinking of the following (all under $400.): new Pelikan 400; vintage Pelikan 400NN from Rick Propas; vintage Pelikan 400N from Rick Propas; vintage Pelikan 400 from Rick Propas; new Waterman Carene; or new Santini. Any suggestions? Thoughts? I like all the pens that I have, but my favorites are the Pelikan M850 and the Waterman Phileas.
  4. I am about to make my first gold nib purchase and I'm unsure about which nib I should get. I am a lefty, over writer without a hook. I turn my paper/journal at a 45 degree counter clockwise angle when I write, so I write away from my body. I will be purchasing a Santini pen, I enjoy using the Pilot Metropolitan Cursive Medium and would like a similar, if not more refined writing experience. My choices are Italic, Left Oblique or Reverse Oblique. They also offer a 0.9mm Italic nib as an option to their 1.1 Italic. Any insight would be appreciated, I've had a recent bad experience w
