  1. While I do not write too many reviews, posting this here, since I thought this is an interesting pen and there are very few reviews online, unlike the more common Jinhao models like the x450/750/159/992 etc. General notes: This is one of the variants of the Jinhao 650. As far as I can tell, there is another in a red wood variant. This pen cost me the equivalent of $15. Not the cheapest Jinhao or indeed, Chinese pen out there, but still lower than most offerings of ‘upper end’ Chinese brands like penBBS, Moonman, Kaigelu, Lorelei etc., so firmly ‘mid range’ as Chinese offerings go. The pen
  2. I currently have two pens I use very consistently: a Pelikan M800 with cursive ital. nib that I ground and a PFM III, also with a cursive italic that I ground. Both pens are very smooth, wonderful writers. This is the perfect size for me, and I tend to like the M800 better in terms of weight. OK, so what might be a 3rd large pen to add to these two? I have a modern, very slightly used Aurora 88 that I plan to sell—can't go with the play of the nib on the paper. I can, of course, get another Pelikan, and I am open to a vintage pen. So what might be next? Thanks in advance for the help.

    Which Pelikan?

Recently I bought my first Pelikan, a Souveran M800, at a good price on eBay. It was never delivered, so I got a refund. I'm happy about this because, true to form, I did much of my investigating on Pelikans after ordering the pen, and learned that veteran collectors lament the decline in quality of Pelikan nibs in recent years. What pen would you recommend I look for that is about the size (girth) of the 800 but has the excellent nib that Pelikan is (was?) famous for? James
  4. Hello, I am looking to purchase a Mabie Todd Swan Eternal with a No 8 Nib. Information on this pen seems to be quite scarce. I would be grateful if informed members of the forum could shed some light on the best place to look for it and pricing etc. Thanks. Regards
  5. Hi, i just purchased a pack of Waterman pink rose (large) cartridge. It was ordered from an online shop. I think something is just not right. But as this is my first Waterman cartridge, i need help. The pack that i received seems to be almost half empty. Hence a picture of your new cartridge will be highly appreciated. As i will be able to question the seller. And it was not purchased from eBay. Rather a reputed online portal in India. Regards, Chayan
  6. I have two Edison Herald Grandes that I adore. The oversized pens are very comfortable in my hand, but I there's one problem: I cannot find a pen case large enough to stash them to take with me when I'm away from my desk at home. I have a ten pen case that's great, but it's too small for the long Herald Grande pen bodies. Can anyone recommend a pen case large enough for these behemoths? Leather would be great, but any material sufficient enough to protect the pens would be fine. Room for 2-4 pens would be ideal, but I'll take what I can get.
