  5. Hello. I have recently acquired a vintage, gold filled Waterman from the ol' bay. Here is the closed listing. I am in the process of restoring/resaccing this pen, but I need some help and suggestions from you experienced restorers or experts. (1) Any suggestions on how to remove the section from the barrel? The pen has been soaking in an ammonia and water bath for the last couple of days with the pen submerged in the bath just above the section. This has helped to remove more of the dried ink, but the section has not loosened yet. I've also briefly attempted to heat that section with
  6. Dear All, This pen was in a recent auction lot. I don't know which model number should be attached to it or anything very much about it. I'm hoping that those who have far greater experience than I do can provide me with more information. As far as I can tell, the nib is damaged beyond repair and I don't know whether to junk the pen or consider a repair. All info gratefully received! Many thanks in anticipation, S The pen measures 41/4 " or 11 cm capped. It is gold-filled. The top of the clip is marked 'PAT SER 5-16' followed by the Parker name. The only other marking/imprint i

    Which Model Is This, Pls!

Looking for help please as the penhero site has me totally confused now! i have a Sheaffer Touchdown, but based on the cap, I'm confused as to whether this is a Crest or a Crest Deluxe or neither? The cap is right, BUT it doesn't have a white dot on the cap. It's on the end of the body. Is this the wrong cap for this pen?? Why couldn't these crazy pen companies stick to their own models...without variations, lolol! Ugh! Can anyone help identify this pen? Lever Filler Black Conical Lifetime Nib...14K, says Sheaffer's, no serial number 1/10 14K Gold Filled cap - Ma
  8. Hey everyone. I recently picked up a Wahl gold filled ringtop with a #2 nib in decent shape with a metal section. However! After a week of soaking (water and pen flush), heating, blisters and frustration I CANNOT get the section to come apart! I know there are threads about this all over the place but I've NEVER run into as stubborn a pen as this... Any suggestions please?
