Starwalker Black Metal BP: I've had my eye on this for quite some time, and last week I bought one from Mora Stylos in Paris. Great service by the way.

Great pickup... I have the fountain version... Classic pen, AMAZING workmanship and it really makes you feel like it was worth the price compared to resin...

I agree that it really feels special. The texture and weight makes it feel very luxurious to me. Favorite of all my StarWalkers and I have 12 StarWalkers!

Fully agree! I have 5 Starwalker, and this one is my favorite together with the Mistery Black.

After seeing your photo I had to buy the fountain version MB Mindnight Metal StarWalker today. It's amazing and I've always wanted one. No idea why I didn't pick it up years ago.

That is a fine looking pen! Makes me wish I had spent the extra cash for the rollerball/fineliner version than my regular resin Midnight Black!

I had put the grip section/nib on it from my resin midnight fountain!!! LOL... No one's caught that yet.

It's back to stock now, but I had it like that for a couple carry days. :D

Got myself a nice old Meisterstück No. 30 coming my way with a flexy EF nib. Really looking forward to it. Love the pushbutton fillers.

A Voltaire writers edition ballpoint, pencil and fountain pen set. It was an incredible feeling to open this box that had lay around for 21 years, I only buy pens that I will use and enjoy but must admit there was a slight guilty feeling when I removed the 'M', '0.7mm' and 'made in germany' stickers. But I will do these masterpieces justice each tie they are picked up!

Absolutely in love with all three, and especially the nib design!

Finally purchased a 149 in Platnium trim (F) but thinking of swapping nib to a B

Also picked up a Legrand ball point in gold trim to keep in the car

I was feeling a bit under the weather lately, everything's been going wrong since the 31st of Dec. So I thought of treating myself to something, help lift my spirits etc..

Leather Agenda Medium Size

90 Years Anniversary 149- F nib

146 Solitaire Geometric Dimensions- F nib

2 observations so far:

- The rose gold trim on the 90 years is a little different from the same on the standard edition released after.

- The Solitaire GD is actually champagne gold! It is nothing like I have seen before, it is GORGEOUS! It appears silver(ish) in daylight, champagne indoors and rose gold at night. It is really startling me.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
