Wow! This is an incredible resource!

Thank you so very much for all the time and effort you put into this!

I love how thorough you were!

And that is a lot of purples! I thought I had tried a lot of purples - but goodness, you have way more purples than me! Some of these inks I don't have any easy access to, but they are still amazing to see how they all compare side by side.

Thank you so much for this wonderful purple treasure! :)

Nice work. Right now, my purple inks are Poussiere de Lune and PR's Plum, which you didn't happen to review but seems to be in between Iroshizuku's Yama-Budo and Murasaki-Shibu, which you didn't review as well (can't have them all...). I have both loaded up in pens. If I were to buy more ink (oh dear) then it would be African Violet, Majestic Purple or Ebony Purple. As usual, the Japanese inks have that je ne sais quois pas and i'm always intrigued by them.

Thank you so much for this. I love purples, and this is so much more convenient than even the Goulet swatch shop (not to knock the Goulets).

I got a set of pinks and roses from the Goulets and you know, sometimes looking at the color tests is a lot more satisfying than putting them in a pen and then going "meh." But both those activities are cheaper than buying an entire bottle of Iroshizuku and going "meh!"

Amazing.

Thank you for putting effort into compiling the list. I said I wouldn't purchase any inks for a while but this has made me think again.

At the risk of being redundant I can only echo everyone. Thank you.

This is a Herculean effort and I'm saving the link to this. This is not one I want to get lost in the shuffle of my memory

Wow thank you so much for posting this!

I think my favorite (besides BSiAR) is the MB Violet.

Gob smacked!

Thank you for the wonderful comparison and for having taken on this Herculean task! The only purple I have tried up to now is the Montblanc Lavender purple and I love this colour and the shading of this ink. However, I might try Poussière de Lune one day!

Okay, I admit, I've bought more inks since seeing this comprehensive comparison!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
