My best 3 pen cases:

Pilot 3-pen case: superior protection, good quality, can take even longer FP's (i.e. Nakaya Decapod), nice color

Pelikan 3-pen case: soft leather, very pleasant to touch, good protection, nice green/black design

Been wanting to order two items from Nock, the Lookout and Brasstown. But they've been either sold out totally or sold out in the colors I want for some time now. I hope they get more in soon!

You just have to be patient with them and stalk the website. They sell out fast when they do come in stock.

The Pilot Somes (black, 2-pen, in my case) and the Pelikan green/black 3-pen case, as above, are my favorites too, beating out Visconti, Conway Stewart, Aston, Levenger, and (even) Van der Speck. For my longest pens, only Markiaro does the job comfortably.

I only have a few pens which sit, mostly, in a cocobolo wood pencil cup that I've had for decades. I recently thought about what I had sitting around that might be a good case for two-three fatter profile pens when I realized I had a lovely leather three cigar tube case from the old days (don't smoke cigars anymore). This was sized to fit my preferred Macanudo Baron de Rothschild cigars. Seems to work well and while it could hold three pens, I find that, so far, I only carry two with a space between them, just in case.

Quite similar to this one:

Saw this pop up again, since my last post with the cheap zipper case I got two more cases currently.

This one is a pen wrap that I received as a PIF. I mainly use it for storage now of my nicer pens especially as the leather strap/wrap on it is starting to fall apart in all the places of it.

And then this one I traded one of my pens to have hand-made and colored by 3Wunder.

The 3Wunder case is the one I pretty much carry with me when I want more than just my pocket pen.

thank you for this link. i like the 20 pen case

I have and like the FC 3 pen case -- and would recommend it to the OP -- but the 20 pen case is not as good, unfortunately; the elastic bands are way too tight and difficult to use.

The FC Penvelope 13 is also very good!

This is the best pen case on the planet. You can stand on it, throw it against the wall, drop it in the toilet; all with damaging your beloved pens. You can even lock it. It's for cigars too but even a super long Townsend fits.

Thank you for the heads up. I was looking for something exactly like this.

I just ordered one of the new pink Hightowers from Nock Co. to try. I know it's a bit girly for fountain pens but what can I say…I like pink!

I love the Piquadro pen cases, but according to the email I sent them, they stopped making them

The cigar caddy (Otterbox makes the original) is a nice option, but I don't like pens sliding around the foam, and it's bulky

I have the Franklin Christoph leather case, but it's hard to pull pens out of the slots, if they're too small

The Nock Co. Lookout is probably the best 3 pen case. Absolutely love it.

I have the hightower and sassafras as well, but I am not to fond of them. The padding in those seem to be thinner.

Another vote for Nock Co, my Lookout and I go everywhere together. I really like that the outside material feels so hard wearing. I have no qualms about throwing it in my handbag, knowing my pens are safe and I dont have to panic that it will get torn or scratched next to my keys (because its murphys law that my keys will always end up next to the item I want to keep furthest away from them).

Im also content to take it to work meetings so I no longer turn up with a fistful of pens "just in case". My only problem is the compulsion to have three matching pens in there at all times!

I saw mention on IG overnight of new fall releases so Im thinking another order is in my future.

Being a late in life student myself, I go for cheap and protective since I've even managed to dent my solid metal laptop in my backpack once (inside a protective sleeve). Who knows what goes on inside my backpack when I sleep..

Found holders/cases for the new e-cigarettes on Ebay that are cheap, pen sized, have webbing for extra cartridges, and hold pens in place. That one is $7 with free shipping. You can get fancy or basic, metal, leather, and different lengths and widths.

If you want to carry more than a couple pens, look at a Nintendo DS or PS3 case. A little fabric glue will tack down some elastic spacers to hold your pens and again, most come with webbing space for extra cartridges or vials of ink. These things are easy to find locally if you're in a pinch or dirt cheap online.

The Fanged Plot Bunny is an idea for a story that won't go away until written,

yet refuses to cohese enough to BE written.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
