This my small batch of Lamy fountain pen. Sorry for low resolution of photos. :( It seems I need a camera. My phone camera doesn't fit in my purpose! :glare: I have a Lamy 2000 (B), a ratio 46n (FK), an ABC (A), a logo 59 (M), a Safari (EF), and a Studio 65 (M).

Grützi, Christof! The 27m is an amazing pen. The 99 is a bit thin for me, though. What impressed me is the overall amazing quality of the pens, and how different the nibs feel comparing to the modern L2Ks'.

Thanks for sharing g your always beautiful pics!

I always was thinking that the 99 has the same dimensions as the 27, just an economic variant. Am I wrong?

I have both and the 99 is a fraction thinner than the 27 but it is only a fraction. I doubt you would notice.

Seems that the 27m is a larger version of the 27. Regarding the 99, the difference in size is very noticeable. The 27m is the L2K league.

First of all the 27e (which I have) is the first version with a black cap. The 27m has a metal cap. The 27 was made in 12 varieties from the plastic 27e to the 27n which had a gold cap. Later models like the 27 30, 27 31 and 27 32 were VERY different pens

The dimensions are as follows :-

27e uncapped 12.3

capped 13.4

posted 15.6

99 uncapped 12.3

capped 13.6

posted 15.8

The 99 was an econamy version of the 27 and was much the same design but a tad thinner.

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

There is still chemistry for processing regular chrome (positive) films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fuji Velvia, but Kodachrome was a completely different and multistep beast.
    • Ceilidh
Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.
