To keep up with the generosity, and good karma of the forum, there are two batches of 5 international cartridges of De Atramentis Sapphire ready to ship worldwide. In order to give all members a fair chance, 2 PM's will be randomly chosen among those sent from now till next Tuesday. Good luck to all.

The 3th and the 24th are the winners, they've been PM'd for shipping addresses. Thanks for all the interest shown. I hope you enjoy the ink!

I know that might seem awful presumptuous of me...

It is...I think that we have already addressed this in this thread (post # 163) that though this is the place to give away items is is not appropriate to request them.

-Marcos

P.S. While I'm at it...5 Montblanc Bordeaux cartridges. CONUS to the first person who promises to write a full review and post it on the review thread.

Stupid question, but those don't fit your standard FP, do they (ala "international cartridges")?

Honestly don't know. Sold some on eBay to a guy who didn't have a Geha pen and they fitted, so you can try them if you like - free postage. They are royal blue by the way. If they are 'international' then I'll put the other two up here.

Couldn't sell it.... so I might as well give it away to someone who could use it :-). Dark blue lacquer cap for a Caran d’ Ache Leman fountain pen (or roller ball..fits either). Excellent condition and has a spring loaded clip.

Slight delay sending the King's Gold, sorry -- they'll go out next week, when I can save myself $20 by mailing them from the US. At least 3/4 will probably arrive sooner that way, anyway.

Gone to kookychick. Congratulations!

I have 5 small wax sealed bottles of ink that came with a glass dip pen I purchased. I don't know if they are fountain pen friendly, but should definitely be able to be used with a dip pen. To make it a little more available to those who don't happen to be reading this post at the time of posting, I'll send it to the 3rd person to email me at dchelpka AT fastq DOT com. CONUS only please.

Edited to correct typo in email address.

Hi,

as a thanks to this great site, I'm giving away 4 cheap 2 dollar stilo pen, that are possibly only available in Mexico and the grand prize of 1 Sabonis pen, also available only in Mexico. Now, it will take me time to send them, say two weeks, but let the PMing begin. Send me an e-mail at darriz@mail.com, with some telling subject (i.e. Sabonis pen draw, FPN draw)

In one week, I will raffle them up. First one gets the sabonis, second to fifth get the 2 dollar carioca pen, which is a great fine writer, not tootthy at all

A little on both pens: The cariocas are children's pen. Plastic, neon colored, cheap looking. But they write well, very smoothly and very fine too

The Sabonis seems exclusive to just a few latinamerican countries. They are cheap (I bought my second one today by 15 bucks, but are very high quality metallic pens, ver very sturdy, and have some of the smoothest nibs I've tried.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
