  1. Hi everyone, Does any of you know of a dark, well-behaved, black ink that is common and easy to find and slightly wetter than Pelikan. I don't want anything as wet as say Aurora Black or J. Herbin Perle Noire, although I love those blacks. I just need something that will make my pen work just a little better because I am in between being too wet on some papers and too dry on others. I already tried Noodler's Black so I'm looking for something different. Thank you all very much in advance, 3nding
  2. I became aware of the world of fountain pens (other than Montblanc) through Goulet on Youtube earlier this year and got sucked in. I write a lot so initially this was all justified, but now its clearly gotten out of control. Goulet no longer sell Sailor, so it took a couple months, but I then became aware of Sailor and how supposedly great Sailor inks were. Of course it was not long after that I became aware of their special store inks. I also found out that I missed out on when Sailor was offering the old style tall bottles more commonly with their regular inks, and everything I was buying no
  3. I've been given the opportunity to test some of Dr. J's De Atramentis Sparkly inks, so thanks to all who made this possible! (Wish my photo skills were more advanced...) This is the Columbia Blue series, and I first tested the Bronze phase. The ink loads easily, but as I haven't cleaned the pen I don't know if it cleans easily as well. It did leave some staining on the white body of the Hero-Fari I used to test it. It flows well, too. Ink is dark enough so that it's no eyestrain to read, which makes the sparkle more apparent. And you can see that the sparkling element shows better in t

    Cult Pens/diamine 'deep Dark Brown'

My bottle of this great ink arrived this morning so I've only had chance to get a simple scan up. Also, I've no inks to compare it with so I'll wait for others to do that. Water/soak test scans will follow later. It's quite a wet ink which is great in a way as I'd planned it to go in my Pilot Custom 823 F and I was really pleased as I think it makes it up to a MF thickness, which I've just got on a couple of Sailor 1911s (but more about those later.) So, another great ink from Cult Pens in conjunction with Diamine of course. Enjoy!
