Meisterstuck Platinum Line Legrand Ballpoint Pen - 7569 For $249.99

This Meisterstuck LeGrand is on sale again at Jet.com. https://jet.com/product/Montblanc-Meisterstuck-Platinum-Line-LeGrand-Ballpoint-Pen-7569/e8d07d64146f49f580353d74357ec6df The sale price is $279.99 and with promo code "TRIPLE15" you get an additional 15% off (but it maxes at a $30 discount) for a final price of $249.99. Jet.com's products are fulfilled by Jet or other companies. When I ordered the pen a couple weeks ago, it was sent to me from JacobTime.com. I researched both companies, and felt safe enough to purchase a grey market pen from them. Jet.com has a thirty-day return policy as well, so it gives you time to check out the merchandise and decide if you want to keep it. JacobTime also had good online reviews as well as a good BBB standing in New York. I have a question out on the forum to verify some of the details of the pen and packaging I received, but I am fairly certain it is an authentic pen. At 48% off the MSRP, I was willing to pay to check it knowing I can still return it. Hope this helps someone else get a great deal too if you're in the market for a grey MB. I just tried the pricing again at 12:30 AM Pacific on 8/10/16 and it is still valid. I have no affiliation with Jet.com or JacobTime.com or Montblanc!- 4 replies

Hello, I realize this is a ballpoint, but thought I would try to post this. I just purchased a Montblanc 7569 - Meisterstuck Platinum Line LeGrand Ballpoint Pen from JacobTime.com. They have good online reviews, and an "A" rating with the Brooklyn BBB. I know the pitfalls of buying gray market items, but just wanted to see if anyone here had any experience with this store. Everything looks correct - boxes, owner's manual/warranty card booklet, etc. but just wanted throw it out there. I have read that shining a light into the pen to see if it looks red is no longer a valid test, as good fakes can do that now, and not all Montblancs shine red apparently. I am too blind even with a magnifying glass to see the serial number on the back of the clip, so I can't verify that at this time. The pen feels a little lighter than I expected, but I do not know if I am correct on that. One question I have, is the threads in the barrel and the "cap" of the pen. The 7569 is Platinum, so would the metal threaded sections be made out of a silver metal, or should they be brass? I tried to take some pictures, but my macro shooting capability is not very good, so the pictures are pretty much useless as far as authenticating. Is there anything else I can look for to verify if this pen is authentic? Is there enough online feedback to trust that Jacobtime.com is a "legitimate" grey market seller? From what I saw, they seemed legitimate. I'd really appreciate any feedback! Thank you!
