Can a Slim Line nib & feed be pulled out, please?

I received this pen (it is a Slim Line, correct?) recently and the previous owner must have glued the section into the barrel - it won't budge. I've tried lots of soaking, ultrasonic cleaning, heat, and even penetrating oil but no go.

Can the nib & feed be pulled out? If so, perhaps I can soak more with liquid getting to the other side of the threads and/or put some penetrating oil from the inside or something else.

When I got it it had some ink and it really wrote beautifully. I was thinking it would be the perfect pen to carry with my notepad in my bag. It would be nice to fix but I'm about to give up ...

Hi there,

if I am not wrong the nib assembly is screw on section...it is a kind of Pelikan or Esterbrook nib point assembly..there is a small o'ring around "neck"'s assembly nib point too...

Regards

René.

Sorry, can't help with the nib/feed - it's so long since I had one, I've forgotten.

But, you're going to have to get the section and barrel apart sometime, to change cartridges/fill converter etc.

I hope it hasn't been glued - but, even then, a suitable solvent may get it apart?

You may get more luck posting in the Repairs sub-forum - some real experts in there.

Hope you get it sorted.

Great pens - one of my favourite nibs

And congratulations!

The nib came off the feed easy. Grabbed the feed with a rubber pad, pulled it straight, twisting a little as I pulled ... and it broke. I don't think it is friction fit.

No bigee ... I didn't pay much for it.

Thanks for trying to help.

that's unfortunate.. I recall the feed is brittle as mentioned in earlier threads.

It looks like that feed collar has threads, correct?
