I don't know enough about 51 Signets to be able to tell you one way or the other.  I'll have to look at mine at some point and get back to you (it's a fairly recent acquisition and I don't even remember what ink is in it at the moment).

Thanks, Ruth -- I also just went to Ernesto Soler's page for information. He has four Signets listed at the moment. It's hard to tell from a couple of the photos, but I think they all have the same engraving pattern on the barrel as on the cap (and at least one is a converging lines pattern). So between that and VacNut's comment, I'm presuming a swap happened somewhere along the way -- not necessarily by the seller, of course.

Well, I just now dug out my Signet, and it definitely has "3 line" engraving groupings on both the cap and the barrel.

But, since this is the only one I've ever seen?  No clue about other ones.

A vintage / old Parker 51 that holds a nice amount of ink. It also writes nicely and I think it is a fine nib.

Just picked up a full bottle of NOS Parker Superchrome ink in Turquoise Blue with no SITB for about 15 dollars and change Looking forward to trying it out in my other vacumatic 51.

Received my only stainless Parker 105 ballpoint. Other than a loose clip it is in very good condition. I do seem to have an ever growing stash of 105's in the pwn cabinet.

Over the weekend, it was a teal blue Parker 45, (a find at an estate sale).  Unfortunately, I didn't realize that the section was cracked :headsmack:, so it may end up becoming a "parts" pen -- especially since I think it might have a gold nib; I haven't looked at all that carefully yet, since I spent most of the rest of the day on Saturday, and part of Sunday, flushing out what turned out to be a cheap (?) Chinese pen that was in a Waterman box (explains why it was less expensive than the Levenger True Writer that was advertised by name in the listing...(!) but which seemed to be more or less unused (I don't think the converter in the box with it had ever seen ink in it).

OTOH, I only paid five bucks for the 45....

The Parker 45 sections are not hard to find, and you can have a useful pen instead of parts for other 45 pens.

Well, I certainly hope so -- especially I've never seen one in this color before now.

Ruth, send me a picture of it. I may have a section I can just give you.

Okay, thanks!  But it may take a few days, since I'm not moving fast at the moment.  And of course we still have to unload a bunch of stuff from the minivan from my husband's week in Mississippi running the food booth (including his LAUNDRY...).

An eBay special has now come out of three days of the soak/flush routine.

It didn't look pristine in the listing, with signs of the common 'clip wander' on the lustraloy cap, but I wondered why there wasn't a picture with the cap off. Its arrival solved that puzzle very quickly.

Still, not really bothered because, as ever, it's all about the nib. In this case, a medium Oblique (verging on Fine Oblique).

I'll look at possibly reseating the feed in the future.

More than 100 years old and still an amazing beauty. That Lapis celluloid is gorgeous! And I love the little drawing. 😊

@christof -- I don't think I've ever seen a Parker with a Toronto imprint on it before (I have a few that are UK production, but most of mine -- except for maybe a couple of the Vectors, which were French production -- are all US production).  Including the Lapis Blue Duofold Senior I picked up last fall at something that was NOT where I was expecting to find pens for sale!  But when I saw the pen?  I was just DROOLING, it was so pretty!  Absolutely HAD to have it!

So I know EXACTLY how you probably felt on finding yours!

This weekend’s project pen: a 1943 Vac Major in Emerald that needed a new diaphragm, a reset nib, and a replacement breather tube. Although there’s some transparency, the color on the barrel and even the cap is yellowed; the blind cap (which looks otherwise like a proper match) is much more vibrantly green. Firm fine-to-medium, writes perfectly well. I’ve been hunting for an Emerald Vac with good color, and this seemed like a candidate, but I admit it doesn’t move me as much as I’d hoped, unlike the Azure from several weeks ago.

Please excuse this 'not a fountain pen'.

What a nice presentation, case and rainbow pen.  I 'only' buy fountain pens...but I would have snapped that up quickly!

Thanks for sharing.
