This set is known as the "Streamline Slender" and is a second generation Vacumatic.
I can't help much regarding whether the emblems were factory fitted or not.

Just came in the mail such a chunky pen and nib!

(senior Duofold streamline around 1930 interesting that does not have a arrow nib but the largest size Duofold like a senior flattop, but a comb feed I think

is all original)

The emblems look like cap badges to me that have been shaped and then applied to the pen by the proud owner

A Parker "17" Super Duofold that I obtained from the Bay of Thieves at a bargain price, boxed and in minty condition🙃. I've inked it with Quink Permanent Black. 🖋️

It is great to learn the correct model, what with the Vacumatics being so many and varied (clearly I need to see many more of them). As for the emblems, I think that you may well be correct, @Beechwood. Whoever did the work certainly made an excellent job of it.

 

The Slender was sold as a lady's pen (looked it up after @baz666's steer) so perhaps the attention to detail was a labour of love on the part of a serving officer. We will never know but it's a pleasant thought, nevertheless.

I seem to be on a Parker track lately, just not able to pass up this little blue vac, 1940 speed line filler, this little one fills very nicely after restoration. It was surprisingly low priced so “had” to get it.

Nice pen!  The Azure Blue Pearl is probably my favorite color of the entire Vac line.  Although somehow I've ended up with THREE of the Emerald Pearls in different sizes (including the one I just had restored a couple of weekends ago at the Ohio Pen Show).

Last weekend when I was at (of all things) a sewing and fiber themed event, I had *two* people come up to me in the space of a minuter or two (one of whom I didn't even know) to tell me that someone on the lower level back porch of the site, someone had fountain pens for sale!  And one of the ones I got was (I think) a vintage Duofold button filler in Lapis Lazuli.   Couldn't find a date code on it, but the imprint has the "Lucky Curve" banner under the word "DUOFOLD" and between the "JANESVILLE WI" wording and what looks like a US patent number.

No pix yet (life has been a little crazy and will continue to be so until sometime next week), but the cap has two bands on it).

Yeah, me too.  I saw one at someone's table at OPS last month, but couldn't afford it.  This one?  I was sort of guessing on the price of it and the grey Sheaffer Snorkel the person had (there was also some little Conklin pen and I forget what the fourth one was, plus some dip pens; and there was some sort of dip pen only ink and a couple of boxes of what turned out to be small glass inkwells but which didn't seem to have caps on them -- maybe for desk pens?).  And my husband chipped in some on the money I spent on the two pens as well (the person is getting divorced from her husband and we thought she was selling stuff because she's short on money at the moment -- not sure how old her son is, but he's now towering over me and I remember him when he was maybe ten or twelve...).

I've had this Challenger for a little while but it's now "officially" joined as I've taken it all apart and given it a good clean and importantly a new sac!

 Since I got it, it‘s in my pocket every day.

I have no Idea why the fine nibs are that much harder to find than medium ones… they are excellent!

Two Parkers from the boneyard. The left is a black Parker 21 in a marble desk base that has been sitting on my desk for 25 years untouched. 

The right one  is a Parker 51 in dark green that appears to have never been used. It had no ink in it and the barrel and cap show no wear.

Any dating information would be helpful.

      Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

      It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

      Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

      @asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
