My Very First Parker 51!

Either the clip or the cap body will say Parker, not both but always one of the two.

 

The clip is from a Vacumatic not a 51. 51s always had a blue diamond clip.

I have a dove gray 1948 51 Vacumatic pen with a cap that doesn't have the blue diamond. Lustraloy cap with a sort of wide cap band. Not all the Vac 51s have the blue diamond clip.

If the clip says Parker on it then there will be a diamond on the clip.

To be exact, the clip is from a third generation Junior Vacumatic as the Major and above size models had the blue diamond on their clips.

Sounds like gammada needs to get a Vacumatic with a 51 cap to restore balance to the universe.
