I recently got 2 new 146s and a 147. Only just a few months ago I got my first Montblanc fountain pen, and now I have 5. They are very alluring.

That's such a nice pen! I really like the cap and barrel threads. Sadly, if it is too small for you, then it's too small. I like the size, but I don't own one right now. Try posting the cap. The grip diameter is also a little thicker than the Chopin overall. Although if you hold the Chopin closer to the barrel threads it's a bit thicker than the Mozart there.

Still in two minds, but it is lovely, maybe I should just use it !!! and enjoy

Well, it's a 50's MB 146G with broad nib.

I'm a little bit proud of it at it is my first pen of that type that i completely took apart, cleaned, resealed and

reassembled myself. I've done that with others before, but here the section and the barrel must be separated using heat...

It was a lucky find on that "knowntoallofus" auctionsite. I got the bid for slightly over 130€. Maybe it was the engraving with initials.I'm a usern, no hardcore collector, so thats fine with me. I can blacken the initials later. I dont know wo L.A.M. was, but thank you.

Great additions everyone!

Whenever I've been away for a while, and check this thread again, theres always some amazing stuff in here!

Great l'Aubrac, and that handwriting has me jealous!

A nice 139 and a great Torelli!

Beautiful flex nib on that 149!

Even a 50's catalog that MB still seems to have...

And everyone else's acquisitions I didn't mention from the last couple of pages of course...

Enjoy your new pens!

Here's that 50's catalog you're referring to. Is yours the same?

You're right to be proud about it. Beautiful 146 with that long visulated windows. A very early model. The personalisation is a very little shortcoming that is far compensated by the fact of getting such a beauty for that price. Congrats!!!!!

My last Montblanc was a 80s 146 won on eBay for a very reasonable price. It has a clear ink window, W. Germany on the clip ring and an 18 k fine nib. And, due to necessity, this was the first Montblanc pen of mine that I have taken apart. It had a large deposit of dried ink on the brass piston part (I really wish I would have taken before and after pictures) and it took quite a bit a work to get it clean. The pen now works perfectly and is a fantastic writer.

I have to say, I love the process of restoring a pen. I didn't know this pen had these issues when I purchased it but putting that time in and seeing and using the end result is very gratifying. I feel like I have a stronger connection to the pen.

Congrats! I have one of those and it is a great pen. I love the innovation of the pushknob filler. Mine is having a new sac fit at the moment. I hope it gives you years of pleasure.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
