Did I read somewhere the M90 could be used as an eye dropper fill ??? It could hold a lot of ink that way -- anyone tried it

Sounds like an interesting idea and would remove about the only downside to the pen BUT I'm a bit sceptical about how well the metal threads will work in terms of blocking leakage.

Mine is a Medium nib and is up for sale presently....

also....

I once had to use mine as a survival tool and it actually saved me from great harm and disfigurement...

I was casually wandering thru the woods one fall day admiring the change of color and general peacefulness of the area when suddenly a small Piglet was in front of me, small, cute, cuddly with cute little piggly-wiggly eyes looking up at me...so I leaned over to pick the little guy up when all of a sudden from the adjacent undergrowth a 300lb wild boar with 6" Tusk's, one on each side of his snarling, ripping, spitting mouth came directly at me, obviously in protection of his little piglet...

In a hurried but calm manner I reached into my jacket to my shirt top pocket, pulled out my Limited Edition Pilot M90 LongShort Pocket Pen, hurriedly placing the Cap onto the Barrel thus exposing the Knife like end of the Medium pointed Nib end of the Pen and in one swift downward and lateral movement jammed it into the neck of the wild beast Boar... turning to my right as I carried out this maneauver I witnessed the beast, spurting out a 18" stream of red blood run into the bottom of a large tree, head first, and expire...thankfully for me.

I immediately went over to the beast and removed my M90 from his neck where it had punctured some sort of animal jugular vein and embedded itself into a muscle.

Other than some blood and wild Boar hair sticking inbetween the Nib Tines the Pilot M90 was just like the day I accquired it.

I carried that pen for years but now find that I need to sell it to cover my Euchre loss's, someone will end up with a great pen and survival tool when they acquire my M90....

I have some photo's of the dead Wild Boar with the M90 sticking out of his neck around here somewhere, if I can locate them I will post here.....

Chas.

Fine nib, and always goes in the shirt pocket. Fits so perfectly, I can't imagine having any other as my travel pen.

The threads and whole inside of the metal "back section" is lined with plastic. I could definitely see it working

Eyedropper? Why not? Sounds good Simple enough to try it and see, I imagine, just whip out the converter/cartridge and fill it up? Not got a M90 (yet) or I'd try it.

My 701 has holes where the clutch spring protrudes, so wouldn't be ink-tight.

Chas: amazing story! Coincides with the main reason I'd be worried about flying with one, confiscation at customs - potential weapon. (I read in another post on this forum that M90 may leak on flights?)

I filled the M90 body with Noodlers "Heart of darkness" and after a day or so -- no hint of leakage

Sounds promising. Has it been shaken around a bit? I usually carry mine in the pocket of my jeans where it tends to get the bouncing treatment.

9000 means nothing, especially if these pens are still available to those who look. But I wanted to start a M90 fan club, for everyone who thinks that it's the bee's knees. Poor bees... dying off. Anyways, the only prerequisites are that you leave a post here.

That's it! Lets see how many we can roll in, of the 9000 of us that might be out there.

Hello! I'd like to join your club. I have two M90 pens: one fine & one medium. I think the new M90 is superior to the vintage version, and I'm glad Pilot decided to upgrade the design for the re-issued version.

Campai!

It is surprising how many of us have purchased two of the M90s. It's not like there is a huge variety of these. They only come in one color, stainless, and two nib choices. My two are the same nib size although one medium writes wider than the other. Once you use an M90 for awhile, you really get an appreciation for it.

I've managed to get a medium M90 earlier this year and have been enjoying it since. It's the pen I always have with me for a quick note.

I've a fine nibbed M90. It's the pen i force people to look at because of its sleek modernist design.
