French Maker’s Hallmark for Parker Pens on nib of Parker 75
Mercian posted a gallery image in FPN Image Albums
From the album: Mercian’s pens
This mark - ‘PP’ separated by an upward-pointing arrow - is the hallmark for ‘Parker Pens’. It is on the 14k gold nib on my Parker 75 that was made at Parker’s factory in Méru, France, in 1984 Q1. The fact that it is enclosed within a losange shows, according to French law, that it is a ‘responsibility mark’ for a manufacturer. A ‘responsibility mark’ for an importer of an item would, according to French law, be enclosed within an oval. (See e.g. my photo of the ‘PF’ mark on the nib of my ‘W.-Germany’ Pelikan M800.) ‘PF’ stamp - the French Importer’s hallmark for Pelikan on nib of Pelikan M800.jpeg

From the album: Mercian’s pens
This ‘PF’ mark is the hallmark for Pelikan pens. It is on the 18k gold nib of my ‘W.-Germany’ M800. The nib has a French ‘Eagle-head’ mark to confirm that (a representative sample of) this nib has passed the French assay for 18k gold. The fact that it is enclosed within an oval shows, according to French law, that it is a ‘responsibility mark’ for an Importer. A ‘responsibility mark’ for a manufacturer of an item would, according to French law, be enclosed within a losange - a diamond, or straight-sided polygon (See e.g. my photo of the mark on the nib of my 1984 Parker 75, on which the losange is the shape of the frontal elevation of a house with a pitched roof.) Has any body noticed a small hallmark on the cap band of a sterling Imperial? Can't seem to find what it means. It's next to the USA logo ?

Has anyone seen a Dutch Netherlands 18 carat (750) gold hallmark on a recently made solid gold Montblanc pen? I am used to seeing the 750, STOD, and the two smaller stamps on solid gold examples online. I am also familiar with the similar vermeil and silver hallmarks (Ag 925, STOD, and two smaller stamps) on two Montblanc pens I own (75th pinstripe, and a vermeil). However, the example I am considering has STOD and Au 750, but instead of the two smaller stamps I see a larger stamped rectangular box, with cropped corners, with a rose and the number 750 inside, as depicted in the links below [kleine voorperwen (small articles) 750 gold]. Has Montblanc recently changed their gold hallmarking? Please advise.
