I believe HP just changed the packaging on this last year and rebranded it as "Premium Choice Laser".

http://www.staples.com/office/supplies/Sta...productId=12658

If you got the "Presentation Paper", as here:

http://www.staples.com/office/supplies/Sta...roductId=100970

it is possible that the "coating" may cause problems with FP's. Be very suspicious of coated papers, especially papers formulated for inkjet printers. The coating is designed to quickly absorb the ink droplets so that color inkjet prints look nice and crisp. These coatings, however, can be not so friendly to fountain pens, and, I've actually had the coatings on these papers clog nibs.

Currently Inked: Visconti Pericle EF : Aurora Black; Pilot VP-F (Gunmetal): X-Feather; Pilot VP-F (LE Orange): Kiowa Pecan; Lamy Safari EF: Legal Lapis

Wishlist (WTB/T) - Pelikan "San Francisco"

I have taken the mystery out of it for those curious about HP's Presentation Paper and fountain pens  dont buy it

There must be Office Depot or Staples in Phoenix. I think you'll get a better deal than ordering online. Those reams of paper are heavy!!! :gaah:

The Premium Choice is widely available in office supply stores and they should certainly be able to get it for you if it's not in stock. Maybe you can even return the icky paper!

OK, that clears it up. (I asked basically the same question earlier & got no answer.)

Look at the UPC. Above it should be the number 113100, and below it the code HPU1132.

I may not have been much help, but I DID bump your thread up to the top.

I have some of HP's 20 lb multipurpose and 28 lb laser paper, both of which I've found to be very good for fountain pens; they'd certainly be worth trying if you can't easily lay your hands on the 32 lb variety.

O/T: There are but two large chains in Phoenix: Office Max and Staples. There is one Office Depot in Tucson that I made a point of stopping at last time I was there. They carried a better selection of fountain pens, no question.

Glad the good stuff is working out for you! ;)

You're right, though. It is thick paper.

OT: If ordering online from Staples because they don't stock an item at your local store, you can have it shipped there at no cost and pick it up.

Anyone know if this paper (or its equivalent) is available in the UK?

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
