The legendary HP 32 lb Premium Paper

I think I've located it in the UK. Different pack design to the one posted above by fifthblackbird, but it sounds the same stuff - and it's NOT listed as glossy, so hopefully it's the "good stuff"

"HP Premium Choice Laser A4"

32Lb / 120gsm

http://www.bestbuy.c...e-a4-paper.aspx

I shall pop to our local Best Buy tomorrow and check them and pick up a ream to try. Shall report back!

Update: Scratch that. Their online stock checker says that there is none in stock.

The UK version is now called "HP Colour Laser Paper" and then you have to check that you get A4/120g as it also comes in A3, 100g and 200g.

I contacted HP via Twitter to double check the specification and I've been assured that it's the same as the US HP Premium Choice Laser A4 32lb/120gsm.

Please note: I have NOT yet tried this paper. I'm waiting for my order to come in as I've found some reasonably priced at £14.99 for a ream including shipping from Amazon. Most other places are selling it for less than half for 250, but when you add shipping it works out more per page than from Amazon. Although the Amazon item states that it has ColorLoc, I've checked both the packaging and with HP and it doesn't actually have ColorLok which is good because the US version doesn't either and I want it to be the same product.

Here is the link to the Amazon item: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hewlett-Packard-HP-Smooth-ColorLok/dp/B00DULRFRM/ref=sr_1_2?s=officeproduct&ie=UTF8&qid=1483040521&sr=1-2&keywords=Hewlett+Packard+120g

I hope this helps some UK based enthusiastss B)

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
