Hi,

The seller lost his authorization to sell Montblanc products because of his internet activities. So if you buy from him you will not have the Montblanc warrenty.

I'd look of a MB 149 on a Marketplace.

You can get it for 350$+- few dollars.

Respect to all

Axel, it's interesting you say that. I can't read German, but I can guess from what he wites that his pens still carry the original 2 year Montblanc warranty. Is that possible since, well you said he is no longer an authorised reseller?

He's selling the 145s for around 20 pounds cheaper than can be found at authorised MB retailers in Edinburgh. I wonder if it would be worth taking the risk?

My humble stable: Parker Duofold Centennial GT, Pilot 823 & 742, Conway Stewart 27 Plum Hatched, Pelikan M600, Faber Castell Ambition, Platinum PTL-5000, Kaweco Classic Sport, a small herd of Lamy Safari/Al-Star/Joy, a clutch of Parker 51 aeros and vacs, and a bunch of Pilot 78G

20 pounds? I think that going down to a boutique to buy it would be well worth the extra 20 pounds. Saving the twenty pounds is like turning off the stereo and air conditioning in a Hummer to maximize fuel efficiency...

Montblanc 145, F nib
Faber Castell E-Motion in Pearwood, F nib
Montblanc 149, F nib
Visconti Divina Proporzione 1618, S nib
Montblanc Cool Blue Starwalker, EF nib
Montblanc Solitaire Silver Barley BP
Montblanc Rouge et Noir Coral, M nib

i think its an interesting topic and how multinationals are able to fix prices through dealerships. anyone not conforming stands little chance being able to continue trading. here in gemany luxury companies control there rrp vigorously! as everywhere else i guess. but, i do however believe paying extra is acceptable when you get excellent service which is what you generally get in germany.

It´s a (very) late answer, we know but as time passed we thought we would like to clear some facts :)

Our company (Handelshaus Rheinländer) started as a one-man eBay store back in 2005. Michael Rheinländer had a faible for restoring vintage Montblanc pens and selling them on eBay. The interest and business grew fast and in 2015 the one-man show developed into a company with additional staff. Today we´re are four full time employees and several temporaries. We never had an authorization from Montblanc and we don´t know why some spread such wrong facts. Our concept was and still is way different and an official concession won´t allow us to fullfill the wishes of our customers all over the world. We have a great network of befriended dealers all over Europe and Asia, even Montblanc in Hamburg maintains a professional relationship with us and we´re proud to call a long term former managing director from Montblanc our team member.

You may stumble upon our international eBay store at "pen.seller" but feel free to contact us on every possible way to get a personalized offer. We are currently working on "internationalizing" our homepage so look forward to that. We specialized on pens and collections from the 90´s onward and are proud to offer some exclusive and limited pens you won´t find anywhere else.

We are all connected by the passion for exclusive and exceptional pens and are happy to share our enthusiasm with everyone who gives us a chance wether on eBay, our website or in our local store in Ravensburg, Germany.  To check out our assortment of pens without hassle get on over to Instagram @handelshaus_rheinlaender (https://www.instagram.com/handelshaus_rheinlaender/)

All the best for you and happy writing :)

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
