Leonardo Momento Magico Celluloid - Loose nib & feed

I have a limited edition Leonardo Momento Magico celluloid pen with a 14k gold nib and blue ebonite feed, which are friction fit. I pulled out the nib and feed to clean the pen. I soaked the feed, nib, and the section end of the pen in a little very diluted pen wash for about an hour. I believe the pen wash is just distilled water with a drop of mild dish soap and contains no ammonia. Still, I diluted it with an equal amount of distilled water before putting the feed and section into it. I removed and gently dried everything with Kim-Wipes (dust-free medical tissues). When I put the nib and feed back in the section they slid right in, but either the section had grown a tiny bit or the nib/feed had shrunk a little bit. The section will not hold on to the nib/feed. I've tried placing the nib a little farther forward and a little farther back on the feed but that makes no difference. Somehow the opening of the section has gown a fraction of a millimeter or the ebonite feed has shrunk. Any suggestions for a remedy for this situation? Thanks.
