The third photo of the 149 Ebay listing, for me, is showing only the guarantee booklet, mixing pictures from the past and today's editions of the anniversary. Probably a relationship showing the inspiration of these anniversary models. My interpretation.

That was also my interpretation!

You could be correct. I thought that they might have remade the originals. What I dislike about these new models are the prodigious use of metal. I don't like my everyday writing instruments to be gaudy. Also, Montblanc has a bad reputation of not plating any of theirs correctly leading it to rub off. They will also tarnish over time making them look horrible. Better if they just stick to their resin which won't deteriorate like these metal finishes.

Really? I've never had an issue with any platinum or gold plating? I've even successfully polished scratches out of their plating without rubbing through.

You can run a search for 'plating' on this Montblanc forum to see...Myself, I've experienced red gold flaking off on my 90th Anniversary.

Is it only certain years? They presently use 15 micron PVD for gold plating, which is hard to mess up.

While I'm pretty anti Montblanc at this point for a variety of reasons, I could maybe see getting that green one if they do it in the Le Grand or 149 size as well.

Although I liked more the green color, I agree with you. It seems to me that the blue color of the 149 cap is different from the 146 as I can see in the pictures. We need to see in person. My decision is to wait for new models along the year.

Nice point of view. It would be fantastic if they could make a 'revival' of the early models like replicas! Too many interesting models to be relaunched.

A missed opportunity, I think.

Very similar styling to Aurora 88 / Ipsilons... but with Montblanc pricing. Apart from the cap engraving, what's 'origin' about them?

I will not be reaching for my wallet if this is the 100 Collection.

Looking forward if they make a skeleton 149 like 75th and 90th anv same design in other precious metal like platinum would be nice.

Some “interesting” stuff here but quite underwhelming (if not even hideous) for a 100th anniversary, except the price, of course. I’m keeping my fingers crossed they will show us something more elegant and tastefully restrained later in the year. But, from me, so far: thanks, but no thanks.

Sorry if I missed it:  have the eBay pens appeared on an official MB site?

Not yet — I was told by a MB Sales Associate a few weeks ago that the official release in the U.S. would be in April. So, perhaps we can expect images via the MB website in the next few weeks.

If you look at the photos via this link, it appears there is a MB booklet at the bottom of at least one of the images with photos, perhaps, of pens forthcoming in the series. If so, some of them look very interesting to me.

Those images probably are more a reference of ancient models only, mixed with current anniversary models.

You are probably right — overly optimistic on my part!

I must say that I'm extremely happy with the models so far (if that is indeed what they'll release).

It means I'm keeping my money without any doubt.

Yeah, well, that was before the photos of the 149 appeared...

Given that the 149 is my favorite MB, I might have to sell a kidney or something to get that one 😁.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
