Montblanc Jules Verne v Solitaire (fake to genuine)

Back in December of 2019 I put a post on this forum because I thought I'd stumbled on a rare red Jules Verne. After posting photographs and having a number of discussions, I quickly realised it was a fake. An excellent fake but a fake nonetheless. Of course I should have known better (a RED Jules Verne???). Many thanks again to all the guys that helped me out. I vowed to one day own a genuine Montblanc.

Fast forward about 7 months and whilst there was a break in lockdown, I managed a business trip to Italy. The airports were deserted and there were heavy discounts in the duty free shops. This happened to coincided with a pretty favourable (relatively speaking) rate for the £/€ relationship in my favour.

To cut a long story short, I am now the very proud owner of a genuine Meisterstuck Solitaire Doue Blue Hour fountain pen. It's stunning. I just fell in love with it as soon as I saw it in the window of the duty free shop in Rome Airport. It cost me a lot of money but honestly, every time I pick it up, even to scribble some notes, the price becomes inconsequential. It's not the most expensive model but the styling just got me.

So thanks again to all the fruitloops who shared my passion in 2019 for owning a genuine Montblanc. I hope I've redeemed myself. 😄

Nice looking pen. Is the blue striping as seen on the cap and section really there or just a lighting artifact?

If you want a matching ink, the Ultramarine or the recently released Elvis might fit.
