Conid Open Orders

I've signed up but I don't trust them. I would be that they will be open before they take the time create a newsletter than includes the announcement.

Maybe. But they have managed to announce all their other changes via the newsletter and, given their recent history with queue management, I can't see them randomly opening up for new orders. It makes a lot more sense to give subscribers a heads up.

But, they don't exactly get comms. :P

Thank you Jonas, Johan, Lukasz, Koen, Werner and, of course @fountainbel :)

Special props to Jonas on laser engraving and communications and Johan for the quality nib assurance

Conid fulfilled; queue reduced

There's gotta be some saying like It's a Wonderful Life :

Every time a Conid gets delivered, the team gets another half-day off!

I had a question about disassembling my Conid Kingsize Bulkfiller and reached out to the company last night. I had thorough and helpful answer from Jonas this morning. He also responded quickly to a follow-up question I sent him this morning. Whatever other issues folks have had getting orders filled and responsive communications, my experience was excellent.

Hi Conid friends!
Good news :Conid twill restart accepting orders as from September 2020
The Covid 19 pandemic has been seriously in Belgium which delayed the elimination of their backlog
They have started production of the parts , assuring shorter delivery times in the future.
Best regards,
Francis

Here's hoping they are ready for pent-up demand.

I wonder if there is still anyone still waiting for their orders?

September looms!

I ordered a Conid Kingsize Monarch through Fontoplumo, probably one of the last orders that went to Conid. I still have no news, but I hope it will come soon.

Never mind the newsletters. I hope that you got your pens!

I've signed up for newsletters more than once, have bought 4 Kingsize and never get the newsletter

I mysteriously found my newsletter in my spam box. The false negative ham/spam rate for is so low that it took me a long time to discover the newsletter. That would be the newsletter that was published since the COVID pandemic.

What's your point? October has 31 days but the last day falls on a weekend, so same productivity!

Moaners needn't start complaining Sept 2.

Add lightness and simplicate.

Oh, but they will. They most certainly will. I feel for the folks at Conid.

For a business, that's not something to feel for.... this is something we should be happy for them about. That they have customers impatiently waiting to order more pens!

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
