One of those Jinhao Lamy Safari-alikes with a deep green matte finish, fine nib, and black clip.  Inked with Monteverde Yosemite Green.

 

The nib is better than those my last four Lamy Safaris, and it's one-fifth the price.

 

So guess what I did.

Sounds good to me.  My wish for you is that they all write as well as or better than the first one! They are nice pens. I think the first ones that did a good job of emulating the Lamy were the Wing Sung 6539 (or some such number) that sold for about $2.00 back two to three years ago,

 

Well, enjoy them all... now you have to buy the matching inks for them as well! Maybe Lamy inks?? 🙂

Thanks!  I already have Lamy Turquoise, Petrol, and Copper Orange.  Those should do, I think.

Today: an extra fine Kaigelu 356 (I think) in violet, filled with Van Dieman's Sweet Fig (a slightly darker, perfect companion to my eye). The pen was a surprise gift which has made my day. And... it looks just right sitting on the little coaster on my writing desk.

Two Chinese pens today - the Kaigelu from my last post gets better and better each day - it's has a seriously good nib.

 

And arrived today. A Hero 616+.  Very cute, comfortable to hold and the package includes both converter and a cartridge. Might need to go look at the other colours...  🙂

I have the pink and the blue.  Very nice writers, an definitely cute.  Today I'm writing with a Jinhao Safari Lookalike, self-colored clip AND IT FITS LAMY CARTRIDGES!  🎊 Loaded with Lamy Pacific Blue.  And a Wing Sung 3008 (looks like a piston-filled Lamy Safari but with clear barrel and colorful cap), loaded with 'Petrol Fox,' a gray mix of mine.

Another one piece of Chinese pen history - The Hero Pen (The Wolff fountain pen factory, 1963).

These pens were equipped with F nibs only, but the quality was very high, IMO comparable to a Parker 51.

Jinhao 159 - M. Nib.  Ink:  Dryden Designs Unforgiving Black

Hero 616s inked with Hero 232 IG blue black , well when Hero claim they had improve the nib grind and writing on the 616s , they are not lying , now had 3 of these, all write much wetter, smoother Vs the 616plus it based upon which themselves write significantly improved over the old 616

The Star Trek arrow is an inland ( metal ; i believe its 6K or 8K , do not quite recall which one ) , basically copied over from their 3XX series. One ting to note, yes the nib is improved, but also now it write so wet that it no longer can claim fine as in FINE, its more FM ( and this specific one leans towards M on writing and this is already with the typical dry IG ink ). I am curious how it goes in the long run

 

Also not quite apparent from the photo, the 616s had a thin Brass and Lacquered barrel, not plastic so it add some decent weight and IMHO better balanced for my writing , the Cap Jewel is no longer steel but the same color plastic as the pens ( its a layer of plastic molded onto the actual metal screw )

Yo tambien.  Arrived this am.  Flushed it, inked it, and scribbled a few lines, then swapped in a VP F nib unit to compare.  Scribbled a few lines once more.  Similar line width.  As of now I prefer the Moonman nib.

Congrats! I wonder, are the rest parts of Moonman and VP interchangeable just like nib units?

Pilot "cap" fits the Moonman, but not the other way around.
