Thoughts On Twsbi's Eco-T Grip?

Hey everyone! My question is, if you own a TWSBI-Eco T, what's your impression of the grip section? Also, do you think this would work for a lefty, even though I dislike Lamy's grip?

Thank you!

I have learned that I dislike all triangular/faceted grip pens. I've had a few to play with, and I've never liked them, even though I thought I should. But that's me. The ECO and ECO-T aren't crazy expensive, but if you already have found other faceted grip pens not to your liking, I doubt the ECO-T will change that.

I find the "triangularity" of the Eco-T very subtle, with very rounded ridges-- but I suppose it is still there. I enjoy it myself: it doesn't have the triangle finger "slots" of a Lamy Safari grip, and I enjoy that pen quite a lot.

With kind regards,
-Matthew

I'm also a big fan of the faceted grip on the Lamy Safari, and I also like the grip on the Eco-T. I prefer the Eco-T over the standard Eco since I never have to worry whether the nib is properly aligned to the page. At the same time, the facets are much more subtle than the Lamy. Those who dislike the Lamy's grip may find the Eco-T more to their liking.

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

There is still chemistry for processing regular chrome (positive) films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fuji Velvia, but Kodachrome was a completely different and multistep beast.

Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.
