145 Platinum, OB nib. Writes beautifully!

That's a really nice pen. Congratulations!

Closing another gap in the 149 variations collection:

...actually expected this to have an 14K and not an 14C two tone nib already.

Came in original 1980's brown faux velvet box and appears to be NOS.

And again another EF nib on a 149...

Cheers

Michael

Enjoy Michael. It may have been early in the swap to the new 2-piece body so received a 14C. I would have expected 14K also.

Thanks!

Also I‘ve discovered a few details on the earlier 149 nibs (imprints) worth documenting. Need to take some photographs soon...

Meanwhile I received an early 1970 146 variation with the old section collar, 14C nib and old style clip I was missing so far (also awaiting photography ;-)

I really need to update my 146 and 149 timeline overviews.

Cheers

Michael

Month ago Montblanc 145, my first MB in collection (I don't count MonteRosa, but I Have one. 145 is my first snowflake :)). 145 was with medium nib, pendoctor tuned to fine (wet) and yesterday came MB 254. Ah! Both are Great!

Inks - I got a bottle of Lavender Purple, because I love purple Inks :)

@Ghost Plane, that is true ;) My favorite are J.Herbin Poussiere de Lune, LAmy Dark Lilac and more and more Lavender Purple.

Picture of my MB. Here is 145 with lovely norwegian Pan53.

My last purchase I'm waiting very impatiently

Is something Coral coming to you?

If so, that's remarkable!

CONGRATULATIONS!

Will it have an M nib, or something else?

You have to change the nib - M is too small. I have got OBB.

Great choice!

I have just purchase for the vast sum of 99p:

"Pen Nib Suitable For Montblanc 144 Fountain Pen. Liquidated stock, as new as only tested it writes.

Not verified as genuine".

I am pretty sure it will be a Chinese copy but it will be interesting to see, I will report back when it arrives.

Whatever the result, I will only have lost less than a pound.

If it's a copy from here, maybe it'll be ideal for writing 中文, characters.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
