You'll notice a bit of color variation from the 540 to the other pens - it's from the pressure I was using. -_-

Excellent review, Julia! Robert Oster has been quite prolific lately. I'd deplete my funds pretty rapidly if I ordered all the ones I like in his Signature line.

Nicely presented review, thank you Julia. I currently have this ink in my pen, and am really enjoying it. It's a lovely green colour, with a freshness that really suits springtime (which is the current season in my part of the world).

Thanks. I'm so excited about the American Gods series that I've been rereading a lot of Neil Gaiman's work.

It was springtime here (in Texas) until today when it started snowing! Now I have to use the ink as a fond memory of nice of weather. Sigh...

Cucumber! I've always had a strange craving for cucumber-colored ink and here it is. Happy sigh.

Thanks for the review. I had been wondering what this one was like. It's nice, but I think it's a little light a color for me. (My wallet thanks you too, BTW....)

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Excellent review! I tried a sample of this and found it very satisfying. Of inks in this color range, however, I prefer Pilot Iro. Chiku-rin.

I'm sure a lot of people will love this one,, but simply looking at that color makes me want to sneeze. It's like my worst hay fever nightmare.

Thanks for the info (I only used B&W film and learned to process that).   Boy -- the stuff I learn here!  Just continually astounded at the depth and breadth of knowledge in this community! Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

      >Well, I knew people who were photography majors in college, and I'm pretty sure that at least some of them were doing photos in color,<   I'm sure they were, and my answer assumes that. It just wasn't likely to have been Kodachrome.  It would have been the films I referred to as "other color films." (Kodachrome is not a generic term for color film. It is a specific film that produces transparencies, or slides, by a process not used for any other film. There are other color trans

@Ceilidh -- Well, I knew people who were photography majors in college, and I'm pretty sure that at least some of them were doing photos in color, not just B&W like I learned to process.  Whether they were doing the processing of the film themselves in one of the darkrooms, or sending their stuff out to be processed commercially?  That I don't actually know, but had always assumed that they were processing their own film. Kodachrome 25 was the most accurate film for clinical photography and was used by dermatologists everywhere. I got magnificent results with a Nikon F2 and a MicroNikkor 60 mm lens, using a manually calibrated small flash on a bracket. I wish there were a filter called "Kodachrome 25 color balance" on my iPhone camera.
