Everything about this pen exudes class. Tastefully executed.

Years ago, I was at a reception where a guy was describing a woman he had met by saying, "She just eluded class." I almost spit my Champagne out. :D

Rationalizing pen and ink purchases since 1967.

Hi all.

New member here.

Could someone please tell me which model Montblanc Meisterstück this one is? Name and series or year?

I received it as a present from a chief minister of a state long ago the office of whose often received original Montblancs as presents from the dealer himself. So, genuine piece, for sure, and I did all fake tests to doubly make sure. Writes like a dream although the nib is too broad for my taste. Medium would've been perfect.

Also, I lost the piston converter and don't feel like buying catridges. So, will it be alright to fill the barrel with ink directly as we do in eyedropper models?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mark,

New Delhi

I would not eyedropper a metal pen barrel, especially if it is solid silver. A new Montblanc converter should be compatible with this pen.

Life on the broad side. Double broad, really.

Make that a double Y E A H !!!!!

Terrific photograph of what appears ti be an outstanding nib.

Thank you for posting that.

It's the kind of nib image which makes me smile and pick up my own pens.

From what I can see it appears to be a Montblanc 144 "jungle eyes" citrine, possibly Madeira model. I don't have mine to hand to check the detail, but I am sure with this information google will one able to help you out.

I've flushed all my EF and F pens and have the following inked

Homer (OBB) with Montblanc Turquoise

149 (BB) with Kon-Peki - This writes much wider than my other BBs

Thanks. I'll order some right away.

When you run out of Racing Green, try BungBox Dandyism and see if you like it. Nice collection!

@fountainpencrazy based on that photo the 149 14C looks like a wet B or BB. 3B has a different shape to the tipping from my experience. Still, looms like a nice, luscious writer worth of using on a regular basis. Enjoy.

Also is the Turquoise the old turquoise from the 1980s/90s or the newer UNICEF ink (which is actually labeled as turquoise on the sticker stuck to the bottom of the bottle)?

Thanks. That's good to know. So this is very wet BB, I'm loving it! I had posted about this 14C Tri-color nib a few days ago. It's extremely smooth and quite flexible.

The Turquoise is the old one, not the new UNICEF one. I like using their older 'shoe' bottles.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
