What is the grid spacing of your graph paper? If it is 5mm then you are getting some amazingly fine lettering from that B nib.

Tom, if I may ask, what kind of paper are you using? Other examples of broad nibs in use show some bleed of ink from these nibs so that the empty spaces in letters like a, e, o etc. are commonly filled in, which is suspect is partly attributable to the paper being used. Your examples seem to avoid this problem.

I definitely attest to the versatility of these nibs, considering the hidden handicaps it encountered:

 

- This was actually the worst paper, ever. Extreme feather with almost every ink/nib.

 

- The bottom color is a Herbin Lie De The. Herbins are known to feather easier than others.

 

- Also Herbins write 'wetter' which would make smaller letters more challenging.

 

So yes, despite all this still very manageable
