  1. Its a classic for sure but Im debating adding one to my collection mostly due to cost. I only have one other Montblanc fountain pen, a Starwalker Midnight extreme. Also have a Starwalker Midnight ballpoint. The ballpoint was my first fine pen. Ill never forget the experience of calling up World Lux (now defunct) and placing the order. I even remember the sunlight coming through the window in the morning as I was calling. The call was very short and easy but the aftermath of I spent THAT much on a pen!? I will never forget. Really, the call was only about 5 minutes max. I even got a
  2. PRELUDE I was looking to gift my dad with a Montblanc pen for a long time. And it had to be a new one. Montblanc Red Gold 149 Obbb

Montblanc Red Gold 149 OBBB ~ Writing with two Montblanc 149 OBBB nibs throughout 2016 was a deeply fulfilling experience after years of having strictly written with EF nibs. With passing time, the notion of a permanent rotation of OBBB nibs became appealing, such that at all times one OBBB might be inked, ready to write. The initial yellow gold OBBB was followed by a platinum OBBB, both of which were comfortable to handle for a wide variety of writing tasks, both specialized and general. Accordingly, a red gold 149 OBBB was ordered on 1 November. It arrived eight weeks later
  4. In the new red gold series of Montblanc, the LeGrand mechanical pencil misses. There is only the tiny Classique MP and that doesn't match the red gold 149. Should one look for a replating service on a gold LeGrand MP or are there other solutions possible?
