You should not have any problems with Tanzanite in your vintage Montblanc. I expect you will find it to be a most enjoyable combination.

Rationalizing pen and ink purchases since 1967.

Thanks! I'm definitely looking forward to trying it.

I'm waiting till tomorrow. It's in a vial and I'd rather make sure I get the ink into the pen and not my clothes. I've finally amassed enough vials that I didn't feel ridiculous ordering the Goulet Vial Holder. It will be here tomorrow, and then I'll have a stable place to uncork the ink. :)

I enjoy using Pelikan Edelstein Tanzanite.

In my experience (based on writing rather than any other kind of testing) it is remarkably similar to Taccia Aoguro ink, which I also like.

The higher cost of the Edelstein is for me justified by the design of the bottle. The thick base and the pleasing concavity of the sides make it a tactile delight. The Taccia pot is stable enough, but for sheer tactile sensation, cannot compare.

I've been using this ink with a my Lamy Vista, and I love it

It's funny because the bottle of ink costs the same as the pen lol, but I like that pen and ink combo for EDC use.

And the color! It's not one of those pale blue blacks like Sailor Souboku or Pilot Blue Black. P.E. Tanzanite is well saturated, it has depth, it has character, and it's a true blue black. I like that.

It's too bad it's $30 a bottle! But I think it's worth it. Plus the bottle itself is quite lovely.
