post-128139-0-23274800-1465105558_thumb.jpgHi Everyone,

Check out this vintage Wahl Eversharp Canada poster that I found hanging in my garage! The photography is not great but at least you can see it. If you like it, I'll put
up a better version. The canoe even says "Canuck." I bought a Wahl Eversharp to celebrate this find.

That's a great find. Be sure to keep it out of the sunlight; maybe even put acrylic over it to protect it from UV rays. I have a Wahl-Eversharp gold-filled pencil (pre 1930s and not the mechanical type) that says Made In Canada. I've often wondered where the factory was.

I was looking at some papers I have with regards to Eversharp. Eversharp was owned by the "Machine Repeating Razor Company" in NYC and they list on their letterhead a Canadian factory address of 800 Bender Avenue, Niagara Falls, Ontario.

I, for one, would like to see a better version of this Advert. Don't have a Canadian Wahl-Eversharp as of yet, but am hoping to locate one someday. I do have a Canadian Sheaffer Craftsman Touchdown in my wee collection.

I often track down Canadian versions of the big US pen makers famous models. I am still looking to find a Wahl Canadian-made pen, but so far I got a Parker 51 Aero made in Canada (1953), and a Sheaffer Snorkel Valiant Triumph made in Canada.

To OP, a great advertisement find, even back then Canada was stereotyped

Hi BJ,

Okay, I'll get a friend with a camera to take a better pic of this and I'll repost. Do you like the Touchdown? I have two Skylines--one from the early 40s and one later, and I really like the pens. No pencils, yet.

I'd love to find one of those Wahl pens. I like the Sheaffer Canadian pens...Made in Canada is on the nib! If there were a moose in the ad we'd have every stereotype going!

Very interesting--that could be it.

It has some acrylic over it (it's one of the reasons why the photo is bad and it's in the garage, but I think I should work on better preservation, for sure. I would like to find one of those pencil/pen sets one day.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
