Sheaffer Snorkel Color Identification: Peacock?

Hello all, I was surprised to see the links for the manderin sheaffer snorkel, just won both of them - the statesman set that was listed as coral and the sentinel fountain pen that was listed as correct color, they are in beautiful condition and glad to add to my collection! I have these and the sage green set.

Impressive. Sounds like you are doing very well with the "difficult" colors. Are you planning on getting them all?

Depends if available and affordability for me, but yes I would like to :) I missed out on the fiesta and the periwinkle or peacock color I forget and at the time I couldn't risk spending that much at the fern one at that time as I had to save for another budget matter. However, I can always see if luck will allow me next time to get another rare or uncommon color :)

...random aside - I still have some 30 rolls of unused, long-expired Kodachrome 64 film (35mm). They have been frozen since 2009. No idea why I have held on to them for this long, but I guess I'm hoping for a miracle. I too have never developed colour film but I still d&p my B&W to this day. As a passion, of course.

Thanks for the info (I only used B&W film and learned to process that).   Boy -- the stuff I learn here!  Just continually astounded at the depth and breadth of knowledge in this community! Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

      >Well, I knew people who were photography majors in college, and I'm pretty sure that at least some of them were doing photos in color,<   I'm sure they were, and my answer assumes that. It just wasn't likely to have been Kodachrome.  It would have been the films I referred to as "other color films." (Kodachrome is not a generic term for color film. It is a specific film that produces transparencies, or slides, by a process not used for any other film. There are other color trans

@Ceilidh -- Well, I knew people who were photography majors in college, and I'm pretty sure that at least some of them were doing photos in color, not just B&W like I learned to process.  Whether they were doing the processing of the film themselves in one of the darkrooms, or sending their stuff out to be processed commercially?  That I don't actually know, but had always assumed that they were processing their own film.
