Quadrifoglio - Sailor Pen & Message

Sailor makes stunning inks. It's a pity so many of them aren't easily obtainable outside of Japan and they're rather expensive to order.

I've received Quadrifoglio sample from one of FPNers - thank you . I must say this ink is quite cool. It behaves well and looks interesting on most papers. The ink was made by Sailor for Pen & Message shop in Japan.

I second Algester on this and I like it. Very nice review! I wonder how this ink would look like when used with an extra fine nib. hmmm....

well I thought it would be more of a brighter green considering it was named after the 4 leaf clover... something like leprechaun green..

I remember mine is much yellower and greyer than this.

 

Anyway it's too different from what I'd imagine an ink called "4 leaf clover" would be.

I have to say I like the color in Lgsoltek's version better than visvamitra's version. Wonder what is different, as in, different batches?

This is the Quadriflogio I remember... a brighter/yellower leafy green. Is nice, but not special enough to me.

I just checked my splash card. It looks similar to yours. It seems my scanned pic turns out too yellow.

I kinda like how this one looks, but it is also similar to some greens I have that are more readily available. I am putting it onto the short list (which isn't actually so short anymore ), though, just in case....

This is a nice enough ink, but I didn't find it any more thrilling than any of the other similar Sailor colours - Kobe 1, 15, 28, 34.
