Montblanc Dumas And Agatha (Signature Is Gone And I Love It)

I've used these two pens so much that the signature on the caps is basically gone. I love it though, it reminds me of a used (but yet beautiful) vintage Fender Stratocaster.

The same thing happened to my Dumas FP.

I gave it moderate use over the years, nothing extraordinary.

Perhaps not unexpected, since the surface looks and feels smooth. There was no etching of the signature into the resin.

My Dumas signature is still there but, I haven't carried it all that often.

I appreciate why the signature is on the pens. Some of them though look horrible, I agree the pens you list do look better with them rubbed off. The worst signaure in my opinion is on the Dickens, it's in the middle of the barrow. My favourites are Twain, Collodi, Prost and Verne are they are subtle and you have to look to find them.

It should be etched into the resin, even if lightly. You can use a gold crayon to fill the etching if you like.

 

My Dumas gold is gone, but I don't care.
