M&m Turquoise - Ink Review

Hey Everyone!

This is my first review on this forum, about an ink that I've been using for a couple of months and so far I like. Hope you enjoy!

Here are our test subjects:

M&M Turquoise ink, Montblanc Noblesse, Parker Jotter.

And of course, the hand-written review:

Here is a small sample on some very cheap paper, which produces some subtle bleed-through:

Summary

This is a pretty nice and likeable ink. It's totally easy to use. (You can even leave your pen uncapped for a while, and it doesn't dry or clog, just becomes a bit darker.) It lubricates quite well, but not too much and gives a smooth experience. I like the color, but it's rather blueish, not very turquoise. Dry time is about 5-6 seconds, and it doesn't smudge at all after that.

If you have any questions or suggestions on how to improve this review (or maybe how to make a better one next time), please answer this topic. :)

Good review..

Where are M & M inks ??

:happyberet:

I bought it in a Müller shop, which is a pretty common chain in Central Europe - it's basically a drugstore that also sells stationery products, toys, leather products, and other stuff.

Wonderful review! Thank you.

So where do we find this brand if we aren't nearby. ..and do yoy think it would be worth shipping?

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

To be honest, I'm not sure where elso to find it.

Would it be worth shipping? Well, that depends on the shipping cost, but I don't think this ink is that special, so don't let them rip you off with high shipping costs.

Is it just me that can only see the actual hand-written review sideways on and it's quite small?

If it's not just me, please is it possible that it could be rotated 90 degrees clockwise and made just a bit bigger?

I really like the colour of this ink

Hi Chrissy!

Sure, I'll fix it for you when I get home later today.

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

There is still chemistry for processing regular chrome (positive) films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fuji Velvia, but Kodachrome was a completely different and multistep beast.

Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.
