Thinking of getting this but so hard deciding between this and sepia!!! Someone help me out here :wacko: :wacko:

Luckily Toffee forced me to put MB sepia my first brown into Cobweb Corner....then I got a second bottle off of Ebay....first bottle cost 12 E, a couple years later I got a deal for 19E....so have 1 1/2 bottles of Sepia.

 

It all depends on what paper one uses and what pen. One the same paper, the semi-flex EF was very nice...sort of a brown.....the Superflex nib was defiantly Sepia of the red with brown. A dream color of shading.

 

..Well took a look and it was that two year only German Aldi paper. (Laid, Hammered, Linen and marbled...and I was ever so pleasantly that marbled paper was so nice. Three 90g and the Linen was 120g.)

One of the other of the 4 papers, Sepia was pretty good between 'true' regular flex F and semi-flex KOB.

 

I have too many pens inked....and too many needing cleaning. :wacko:

 

I do like Toffee brown, but like Lie de The` better.

The cheapest lessons are from those who learned expensive lessons. Ignorance is best for learning expensive lessons.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
