I'm glad you found your 45. I've had a couple of close calls, always with a Lamy 2000 for some reason. It's no fun at all.

(If you do need a replacement 45 someday, I'd always suggest Peyton Street Pens over ebay.)

Thought I had lost my Twsbi, complete with a hole in my pocket. It was in the car seat. Bought a cheap Pilot Metropolitan as a knockabout pen - nice pen for the $13 I paid for it. Anyway, gotta love happy endings!

So glad this story had a happy ending.

Hello Bruce,

This very same thing happened to me a number of years ago - only with two minor differences.

It was a Waterman Laureat, not a P45 and instead of hiding under the seat, mine clipped itself to the seat belt. I always wear my pen in my front shirt pocket; on warm days, I naturally do not wear a jacket or coat and the seat belt had scooped up the pen and pulled it out of my pocket when I unlatched it to get out. Later, I found my Waterman dangling in mid-air, clinging to the belt for dear life. :D

Best regards,

Chris

PS: I'm glad you were able to track it down - I know the feeling. ;)

Crisis averted :) That sinking, pit of the stomach clutch when you can't find it - gruesome.

I once forgot my Duofold Intl in the staff room at school, after which it disappeared. About two or three years later, a colleague came up to me, pointed this very pen at me and said 'I think this is your pen, isn't it?' I replied that this was the case and asked how she knew. She didn't, but the colleague who found it was quite sure this could only be my pen.

I've misplaced a lamy safari with rohrer und klinger morinda in it. I know it's somewhere in my house... just not where.

I've misplaced my Visconti Eco-roller, which I think (hope) is currently uninked. I am trying to not panic and try to replace it, because the minute I do the original one will turn up. I am not sure how long it has been on the fly, so I can't begin to guess where it could be.

I noticed my purple leather business card holder missing well over a month ago. I resisted the urge to replace it, though I was "sure" I'd lost it in DC in August. Imagine my surprise at opening my lunch bag yesterday and finding the card holder in there, next to the lunch I had just packed. LOL

I lost my Parker Vacumatic last week and searched for days. It was eventually found without its cap after an unexpected trip through the washing machine. The cap was found after it had gone through the dryer cycle!!

I was amazed and very grateful that the nib wasn't damaged in the wash and the cap wasn't damaged by the heat and bouncing around in the dryer. For a pen that's over 70 years old, it still looks and writes like a new pen.

I love happy endings.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
