Pelikan M205 Duo Highlighter Green

These are my first ink reviews so I'd like to hear all suggestions how to improve them. I've got quite some inks in my collection already (most of them are samples but it's a start) and I will review some more in the future.

Diamine Kelly Green and the Highlighter ink are a lot closer in reality than it appears on the swabs. Diamine Kelly looks a lot more vibrant on the paper than on the photograph. The color of the highlighter is close to reality, but a monitor can simply not produce that vibrant color perfectly.

http://www.fp-ink.info/img/button.pngI'm still looking for help/data/supporters/sponsors for my Ink Database - It already contains over 900 Inks but is still low on data about the inks except on the Inks I got myself or where I found nice data sheets. So Im looking for these: InkSamples mailed to me, Permissions to use InkReviews - preferable by people who have a lot of InkReviews online, InkReviews mailed to me so I can scan them, Sponsors that will help me to finance InkSamples, People willing to trade InkSamples (list of available Inks from me is available via PM request - please include available Inks)

Thanks! How does it compare to the yellow 205? How does it write as a "correction" and/or "highlighter" ink written over any Pelikan and/or various other inks -- without smearing these?

Haven't got the yellow one so I can't compare it. I'll try to source it sometime when I'm ordering from goulet again (the long delivery times to Germany make this mostly special orders however) and then I'll post a review.

Highlighting over anything WILL smear it unsells it's waterproof. Neither the Highlighter nor the Pelikan inks are really waterproof so it will just mix with each other "feathering" everything you marked. But scribbling along the text as highlighting (underlines, overlines,...) or over the text with a fine nib that doesn't lay down much ink works pretty good.

I've tried filling this into a pilot parallel with a 6mm nib as a real text marker but it's not worth the time to do this, a real Textmarker will lay down less ink/water that will dissolve the writing. But on anything water-resistant (inks that are waterproof, ballpoint, pencil) it works pretty well again.

Here are proper scans of the page:

It's funny how different the highlighter color looks on this one. It's completely out of the spectrum that can be reproduced electronically I guess, the scanner just doesn't pick it up really.

Thanks for the info (I only used B&W film and learned to process that).   Boy -- the stuff I learn here!  Just continually astounded at the depth and breadth of knowledge in this community! Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

It just wasn't likely to have been Kodachrome.  It would have been the films I referred to as "other color films." (Kodachrome is not a generic term for color film. It is a specific film that produces transparencies, or slides, by a process not used for any other film. There are other color trans

@Ceilidh -- Well, I knew people who were photography majors in college, and I'm pretty sure that at least some of them were doing photos in color, not just B&W like I learned to process.  Whether they were doing the processing of the film themselves in one of the darkrooms, or sending their stuff out to be processed commercially?  That I don't actually know, but had always assumed that they were processing their own film. Kodachrome 25 was the most accurate film for clinical photography and was used by dermatologists everywhere. I got magnificent results with a Nikon F2 and a MicroNikkor 60 mm lens, using a manually calibrated small flash on a bracket. I wish there were a filter called "Kodachrome 25 color balance" on my iPhone camera.
