Maybe because it's been parodied so many times before, but I can't help but think Edward Hopper's Nighthawks would make an awesome ghost parody. :D

I am quite fond of Dali paintings and picked this up while at a museum in Scotland. In the spirit of Dali, attempted to make it ghosty as a funny, but am shamefully (not enough, apparently) embarrassed to post it. It's certainly inky, though. I ended up making quite the mess with a blob of ink and decided to just finger paint it since my finger was already covered in green.
