A variety of inky colors are involved here: "Stormy Periwinkle," "Stormy Persimmon," Dragon Toots Turquoise, Diamine Poppy Red, de Atramentis Frankincense, J. Herbin Ambre-Orange...

Very similar. This was me with short hair making cookies. The big guy is Paladin.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

That is such a great picture! Looks like you're a bit of a messy baker, like me. (I grew up watching Julia Child, and I can destroy a kitchen by flinging things in a couple of steps... ;) ). Paladin's face is PRICELESS. Best dog face I've seen in a long time!

I'm very messy - but Hootch of Turner and Hootch had nothing on Paladin for slobber. At his most active, he weighed 220 lbs.

I grew up with Bassett Hounds, so I understand the slobber factor. Especially when they shake!...

That's a lot of dog! who takes who for a walkies!

My daughter recently bough a cute little puppy, that grew up to be a big bruiser boxer mix with the gift of the slobber.

She is pretty dry unless she is excited, Oh wait, she is always excited, yup Loveable, excited and slobbery

Awww, what a sweet face Paladin has. And I'm a cat person saying that.

Was Paladin helping you bake? Back when I was in college I went to my roommate's house one weekend. We made "Mr Bill" cookies and her parents' standard poodle helped eat the broken ones....

Is there a standard for poodles? I imagine it is called something like IEEE-K9-p00d

Hahahaha. Funny man. Don't quit your day job, funny man....

"Standard" refers to size (as opposed to toy, miniature, etc). I think some other dog breeds have those types of size breakdowns as well (my brother-in-law and his wife used to have a standard poodle who was almost large enough to qualify as "giant" if they had ever tried to show her).

large.141974836_Smartpoodle-X2.jpg.1d78808c930467e91de02dbc0e486352.jpgPoodles are remarkably intelligent,

Normally you put a dog in a pen, a poodle on the other hand will fetch your pen!

Yeah, I've always wondered about the Shetland- series of animals, as in -Pony and -Sheepdog. No one has ever explained to me if the Shetland Sheep are similarly small.

Actually, telling off-beat jokes IS part of my day job. I provide 'phone support for Department of Education computer users, and more than a few are often on the point of tears by the time they get to talk to me. A few of my off-beat jokes and they are either seeing the world in a better light, or ready to strangle me, but they aren't crying any more.

Okay, I confess, we had a standard poodle too. I'm going to have to scan a picture.

Breeders have been working on restoring the original hunting instincts of the standard poodle for the last 20 years or so, apparently with astonishing levels of success.

And it seems to me that people would take them much more seriously if their owners didn't trim their fur into those bizarre shapes! Their particular type of fur is there for a reason...

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
