I don't want to worry you, but I don't recognise the model at all. It is,or is trying to be a Special Edition of some sort, Maybe someone else might chip in. When you say you don't know what type it is, have you only just bought this pen?

The problem is that you don't have a Montblanc rollerball.

You have a fake Mb lookalike rollerball.

I say that in the loosest sense since it doesn't remotely resemble any authentic Mb model.

It's not really trying to be anything. It's just a Chinese designed pen with a Montblanc snowcap top

That is, unfortunately, what shouts out at you.

Dragonman0, where did you buy this from?

I have to agree with the others. I have never seen a MB that looks like that. It looks fake to me.

I bought it in malaysia at a mall. they said it was authentic...

Was it at a MB Authorised dealer?

The refill you bought, I imagine, was from the net?

My advice would be to take it to a MB boutique or an Authorised MB dealer (there are plenty around), and they will confirm its authenticity, or not. You can even ask them to try a Legrand refill, which might fit. Even if it is, as suspected, not authentic then you probably will still want to use it, and an authorised dealer will probably still sell you a refill (they're c.£5.50 each at my local dealer)

Did you buy it without a refill?

You have different size refills, the Classique will be smaller than the LeGrand,

But there is no guarantee that either will fit your pen.You could buy a LeGrand refill only to find that that doesn't fit. When you take it apart is there a thread to screw the refill into the pen?

My advice is still to go into a shop and have them try it.

I'd take it back if it was sold to you as authentic.

Might be a problem if he doesn't live there. :)

whoever sells fake MB should be shot.

Will the Meisterstuck version work?

There are no Meisterstück refills. All of their refills work with their respective pens. For rollerballs there are three kinds, regular, Mozart (small), and Legrand. The regular refill fits in all rollerball pens except for Legrand and Mozart pens. The regular and Legrand refills are the same length, but the Legrand refill is wider. This is not a Meisterstück Legrand pen. Also what do you mean by the refill is too short? The refill will not always be as long as the pen barrel.

I also purchased a fake MB pen and they managed to make a screw-in section for the ink refill. Look for laser engravings of Germany or a serial number.

I keep thinking about selling some of my pens but all that happens is I keep acquiring more!

Sorry but they lied. I suggest that as in most fake Mb style pens, a Parker refill is more likely to fit than any Mb one.

If you live in Malaysia you should try to take it back and get a refund

Oooooh, wow. I'm sorry, seems like even more a reason that it is a counterfeit. Unfortunately I've noticed the people that have to say it's "authentic" are usually selling fakes. Those that are selling authentic pens don't need to say it when the facts and pictures show for themselves.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
