Identify This Script - Dutch Bond

whaddya think, i really like how animalistic and mythological the script looks and i think it would look great (albeit written out with a bit more regularity)

You are correct. That's definitely Dutch. Interesting handwriting.

The writing looks similar to records I index for familysearch.org dating from 16th and 17th century England parishes. This website has some great examples and helps explain the letter forms. It is tricky to read, but most of the time not impossible.

it actually reminds a lot of arabic characters, if english (latin) ones were written in the same style

It's secretary hand, I think. There are guides out there for learning to read it which could be used to learn to produce it, too.

This is old Dutch. From before the regularization of spelling at the beginning of the 20th century. It is still readable and understandable.

It does look like secretary hand. I could stare at secretary hand documents for ages. They look cryptic and the slope is rather haywire compared to the hands we are used to seeing now... although upon careful inspection, the letters see to be formed consistently. Sometimes not all the rules of flourishing are observed... interesting stuff.
