Moreover, I think JFK used Scheaffers or Parkers for his personal use, which in those days were the same or best pens than MB

Write, write, write. Use your pens not your fingers !!!

I saw some pictures of it yesterday in the montblanc shop. It is a nice pen. The most interesting is the unlimited edition in a navy blue color. The release price for Europe will be 790€.

There will also be changes in the Meisterstück, Bohème and Starwalker Series: The gold of the Meisterstück pens will change, it is hard to explain, but it looks more orange. The Heritage pens that will be released have 3 main differences to the actual Heritage : the color, price and size. Furthermore I can confirm that the We will be Daniel Defoe and the Poa Steinway (several versions will be released, the look indeed very nice, but not my cup of tea).

I hope these pens make it to the boards soon

2015? Really? 2014 has barely started...

Did JFK gave the pen to Adenauer or viceversa? I couldn't found any evidence, but I think that the pen was given by Adenauer to JFK, because the are any photo of JFK using a MB pen. Any evidence no the contrary?

We can't be sure, because there are different versions of the story. Looking at the way they hold their hands on the photo and comparing it to the way we normally hand over / receive pens, it's pretty obvious to me that Adenauer takes the pen and Kennedy has just written with it. The question is: Is Kennedy returning the pen or lending it out? It seems that Kennedy is still holding something in his left hand - maybe the cap? So my guess is that Kennedy lends his pen (usually that's how the story is told over here).

YEAH! The new Meisterstück is the "90-years-edition" with an Special Logo. Color will be Red Gold. Similar to the Starwalkers in Red Gold.

Looks much more modern than the regular Meisterstück with golden rings!!!

  • 3 weeks later...

FYI, the pen shop that had shown this had to take down the site with informations on all of the new pens (I guess on behalf of MB)

A J.F.K. with a B.B. nib, sounds great, since M.M. nibs don't exist.

M.M. does not exist because there is M which id Medium and then B with is Broad, there is not half way in between.

Montblanc does :

EX- extra fine

F- fine

M-medium

B- broad

BB- double broad

MO- medium oblige

BO- broad oblige

BBO- double broad oblige.

No, but Brigitte Bardot is from the same era, as was Marilyn Monroe.

Is it just me or does that JFK pen look like the cheap Chinese knock-offs?

Too many pens; too little writing.

It doesn't look that great because it's a still from the video...

The style of the pen seems to be a bit different.

Michael

The JFK pen is actually very beautiful. Vibrant colors. There will also be a Rita Hayworth coming.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
