Recommendations For Pen Pouch Please

BookCat

Recommended Posts

I realise that this topic has probably been covered before but a quick search didn't reveal what I am looking for.

I would be grateful if members could recommend a sturdy pen pouch which is not leather or very expensive and which can hold about 20 fountain pens. I dislike leather and am trying to save money in order to spend it on my new house (which needs work!).

I'm sure others reach the point where there pens present a storage problem. I'm about at that point, hence the desire for a good, but not expensive, case. I don't want a wrap as I know that the pens will get broken in something soft.

Thanks. :)

Is there anywhere in Europe, especially the uk? I know that Richard doesn't ship to the uk, not sure about Jetpens, but the shipping costs for a large pen pouch would be huge.

Thanks for the recommendations, but UK anyone?

The nearest I've found to what I'm looking for is:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fountain-Pen-Roller-Pen-Brown-Coffee-Color-Leather-Case-for-12-Pens-R16-/181096536537?pt=UK_Home_Garden_PensPencils_WritingEquipment_SM&hash=item2a2a31d9d9

unfortunately it's leather.

Oh well, I'll find something eventually. Meanwhile I'm storing my fps in a shoe box!

Hi Bookcat, a month ago I bought a nice penwrap from:

https://www.etsy.com/shop/Inthreadible

Though the website is US based, the shopowner, Kathryn Forster is UK based and ships from the UK.

She makes very nice penwraps. Mine is for 9 pens, and I really admire the handwork and quality of the materials. I have also asked for a 3 pen wrap, that would fit my daily use better.

As Katrhyn is very helpful, I'm sure you could ask if she can make a wrap for more pens. Though I guess 20 would perhaps end up in quite a bulky package.

Good luck in your search.

How much do you plan to spend for Pen Pouch? Recently, I bought a space pen pouch from ebay. Ebay is an online leading portal providing a wide range of pen pouch at affordable prices.

After spending way too much on high end leather cases (Ashton, Royce, Pelikan, etc) I stumbled across much more affordable cases from Rosetta Pens. By which I mean cases for less than $20.

Here's the link: http://www.rosettausa.com/categories/Leather-Goods/

They're sturdy and I use them for rather large pens (e.g., m800) as well as slimmer ones.

Shipping and customer service have been very good for me.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
