Add my vote of thanks :notworthy1:

Actually, the last few days or so I've been on an inky shopping spreee, and this thread has been my central resource. It's really helpful to see all the colours all in one place together on the same paper

I am finding Diamine to be my "go to" brand and having a reference like this is awesome, thanks a lot!

Yes and including a cartridge paper samples alongside the Rhodia is just fanstastic!

Diamine is the best ink company if you live in the UK.

Dont bother with middle men, go to their liverpool factory flashing 50 pound notes and they will start filling big bottles, lifetime supplies.

Can't: I really can't. But I'll certainly mention it when I'm allowed to...

There are currently (August 2013) one hundred colours available in the standard series from Diamine. Below I have written one line with each colour first on low-absorbent paper (Rhodia No 18 dotpad) and second on normal absorbent paper (our corporate printer’s stock “cartridge” paper). All lines are written with a medium Lamy Z50 nib on a Lamy Safari pen.

Apologies for the corporate branding: I do not have blank cartridge stock paper. I hope it does not distract too much from the inks. If you want to calibrate your monitor, the blue and orange colours in the logo are Pantone Blue 072 and Pantone 1375, respectively.

There are 25 colours on each sheet so 4 sheets in total. I will write more about the sorting of the ink colours later. For now: enjoy! and I hope this is useful.

(And if someone wants to send me samples of the special edition Diamine inks that I do not have, then I will be happy to add them. This is mainly the Music set.)

Dear Cybaea Whatan epic job you did!

You inserted the pantone colour numbers. I know a bit of Photoshop....

Question how can I use these numbers for calibrizing my monitor. Calibrizing is always a bit of a problem. There is the spyder tool but i do not own one. I have a special software called calibrize, but do not know if I use it correctly....

Could you maybe explain how I use these numbers. Visamitra always uses these too in his excellent reviews.

Thank you for making the"shoppiest" of shopping lists in the history of mankind.... For an Ink addict lke me this list is of greater value than the declarence of Independence or Neville Chamberlain waving the paper peace in our times ;)

Easiest is probably to use the overlay on https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/index.php/topic/263866-de-atramentis-document-ink/page-2?do=findComment&comment=2990562 which is the same scanner. You can adjust your monitor until you see the same process colours.

Wow. I'm impressed. Thanks! This must've taken a loooooong time. :yikes:

Diamine is one of my favourite ink brands that I've tried. Did you buy samples of every colour they had to do this, or did you already happen to have every colour?

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
