Tomoe Versus Architect's Flimsy?

EKE praised architect's tracing paper called "flimsy" and down the thread gave a source for a 50 foot roll. He calls it "a fairly thin, but highly burnished, smooth vellum-like tracing paper" that handles ink well. It is about 8 pound paper.

Has anyone compared flimsy to the more expensive Tomoe? Of course, one would have to cut from the roll to the size for letters, notebooks, etc.

Hi Octo. Got your PM. I'm not familiar with the Tomoe paper.

I use the flimsy for sketching and drawing. It's very thin, transparent, and tissue-like, so I'm not sure that it would be that great for letters, notebooks, etc. But it's worth a try.

You can order a roll of the paper here:
